I bought this blender about 5 years ago and it's made great smoothies from then until now. It crushed ice and frozen fruit (for smoothies) great -I never had chunks, and it did a good job of circulating the contents so it came out consistently smooth.

The only drawbacks were the vertical bumps on the inside of the canister that made it hard to use a spatula to get every last drop of smoothie out and the seal at the bottom of it that eventually started leaking, which lead to it's eventual death.

If I could just find a new canister I'd continue using this blender -it worked great right up 'til the end1

I bought this blender because I trusted the Black and Decker name, that was a mistake. The plastic base that spins the blade broke after just a couple uses so makes the blender now useless. I tried to contact Black and Decker but they don't service their blenders and I can't find another piece for this anywhere. Do not buy this blender, what a waste of money.

It is an excellent blender. I have had many different brands and this one has a nice selection of speeds and good solid glass container. A good bargain for the price. Do they have small blender cups? I thought I had ordered black but white is OK!
