Positive: I found this to be a great trimmer . It quickly and effectively cut through branches up to 3/8 of an inch (as stated in the manual) and was light and easy to use. While I might not suggest it if you have a great number of bushes to deal with, it sure worked really well with the four or five that I trimmed down and shaped.

Negative: The only issue I had with it is the built-in cord holder. If you plan on using a 25 (or 50 foot) extension cord, I would venture a guess that you should be using a 16 (or 14) guage cord, and the hole for the cord to loop through is a little tight.

I bought this months ago, and after using it myself, my daughter borrowed it and she also loves it. I wouldn't be surprised if she bought one for herself (she is NOT keeping MINE). It's lightweight, and easy for a woman to handle.

Being 60 and female and needing to shape up some boxwoods, I have found this trimmer is just the fit for the job. It is lightweight enough, yet powerful enough for me to get the job done. The weight and overall size allowed me to shape up my shrubbery with minimum effort and time and with results that I am proud of. I am extremely happy with my new trimmer!

I have a smallish yard with quite a few bushes that need pruning. I should note that none of the bushes have excessivley thick branches. It trims them all very nicely. Additionaly, It is not too heavy for me to hold for a lenghth of time.

The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is that Black and Decker should make it cordless like they do their weedwackers.

I'm so glad I purchased this hedge trimmer. It's the perfect size, especially for ladies. It chopped through my shrubs like butter! Nothing more to say except, if you want a nice, lightweight trimmer for a great price, this is the one for you! As for purchasing from Amazon.com, they get 5 stars from me as well. I've always been pleased with their prices, service, delivery and what could be more convenient than shopping online. I'm smiling as I write this review.

Used it right after I received it and it works great for what I need it for. Very light and easy to use.

This is a nice light trimmer with enough power for my basic hedge trimming needs. There is a cord, but I have an outlet outside, so no big deal. Also not having a battery lightens up the trimmer.

Perhaps it being corded rather battery-power is safer with small kids around should they happend upon it in the garage.

Overall quite satisfied.

I bought this to do some lightweight trimming of boxwood hedges and foundation shrubbery surrounding my home this fall. The item promptly arrived at my home and it worked just as advertised. Frankly with the discount, one use just about paid for it, I thought.

I am pleased with the way the hedge trimmer works, and I am glad that I purchased it.

these hedge trimmers do the trick. The new safety trigger lock is kind of awkward, but still easy to use and lightweight.
