I have to admit, I bought this item just to get over the $25 dollar amount for free shipping. I needed one and this put me over the amount for free shipping.

I know that there isn't much to a bow saw....as long as the blade is tight and sharp you should be in good shape. Those two things are good on this saw.

The only thing that is wrong with this saw, and its a biggie is the knuckle guard / handle. I never thought this would be soemthing to consider, but its going to be a headache.

It is made of two plastic pieces that are wrapped around the handle and screwed together. This makes the handle twist from side to side a little bit. It shouldn't hurt the saws performance too much, but it is going to be a little annoying and will probably break after a while.

I'm the kind of guy who likes to buy tools and then keep them forever and in good working condition. That is why I tend to stay away from Black & Decker products. I thought that this would be something that they couldn't screw up, but I was wrong.

I guess the worst thing that could happen is that the knuckle guard breaks off and I have to replace it with a baseball grip wrap or something of that nature.

I'm not sure what Black & Decker was thinking when they added this cheap knuckle guard. It must have been the easiest way to add their signature color to the saw.

If it was up to me to do again, I would not buy this saw.
