5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, works well
Couldn't be more pleased with this little vacuum. I have two parakeets that make a mess most days -- this little guy sucks up the seeds and droppings quickly and easily. I was pleasantly surprised at its relative quietness. The two attachments are a nice touch, as well as the charging dock. For the price, you can't go wrong with it!

2.0 out of 5 stars GREAT at the start
Loved it right out of the box, used it everyday for about two months, its perfect for those instant little toddler messes then it just died. I dont know if its just the battery needs to be replaced at this price you might as well just buy a new one. I am looking around for something a little more robust.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Buy - Handy, February 3, 2005

The 7.2-Volt Dustbuster is a handy small vaccum that you will enjoy. Normally, a dustbuster will last for years before it stops working. It does not clog up. You have to keep the little cup cleaned out each time that you use it. You will not have to worry about getting it repaired after 3 or 4 years. Its new cost at $20 is less than any repair cost would be.

The Dustbuster is great for sucking up dust, dog hairs, sand, fuzz and small pieces of paper off the floor and in corners of the room.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for around the house or in your car, December 12, 2004

I love this product. I use it to clean up in the bathroom and kitchen. I'm using it all over my house and in my car several times a week. I also use it to clean up after my rabbit. I clean the plastic parts with soap and water. It's a sturdy little machine that doesn't clog up and is easy to empty. I'm buying one for my parents for Christmas. Every house needs a dustbuster!

5.0 out of 5 stars Longtime Dustbuster user; Very happy with this model, December 11, 2004
This review is from: Black and Decker 7.2-Volt Wet/Dry DustBuster (Kitchen)
We had a Dustbuster in my home since I was a little boy. If you're comparing it to other models, this one is a definite must-have. I bought this as a gift for my mom. She's had it for over 6 months now, she uses it a few times every week, and has had absolutely no problems.

The Wet/Dry feature is excellent, it's a no-brainer that having the ability to suck up spilt liquid without worrying about ruining the electronic parts is a huge advantage over other handheld vacuums.

It seems like other reviewers have had complaints that are a little ridiculous ... if the rechargable battery goes dead, buy a new one, and if the motor makes noises, return it under warranty or have a repairman clean it! Sheesh, some people!

We would recommend this product without hesitation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does a great job at a good price, March 5, 2005

After buying two other handheld vacs (including one cheap and flimsy Dustbuster), I finally found one I like. This one is powerful and well-built for its price. I like the wet/dry feature for vacuuming up things like soggy kitty litter. It's easy to use and to empty. It seems to hold a good charge, much better than my previous Dustbuster.

The only improvements I'd wish for are a bigger capacity and perhaps a built-in cleaning tool for the inside of the vacuum. I'm also not fond of the way the exhaust blows into your face, but that seems to be a constant with handheld vacs.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this and would buy it again.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Buy, January 1, 2005
This review is from: Black and Decker 7.2-Volt Wet/Dry DustBuster (Kitchen)
I just received this product for Christmas, but, can already tell that I am going to love it. So far, it has been a time saver, picking up dust and particles remarkably well. I also can't believe the suction it has. It is also a lot cheaper than what you can buy elsewhere, but, with higher volts. I am very pleased with it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Decent suction, lousy design, spits out debris, May 6, 2005
This review is from: Black and Decker 7.2-Volt Wet/Dry DustBuster (Kitchen)
This is a good vacuum as far as the suction goes, but the design is so flawed, it makes it useless. The food particles get sucked in, and shot right out the side. What's the point of this vacuum if it is just going to suck in the dirt, and then shoot it out the side. Terrible. There is no screen or anything to stop smaller pieces from being pulled in and shot right back out. I'm returning mine today, in hopes of a better designed cordless. Don't buy this.

I've had this for a couple years, still going strong. I've used it to suck water out of a window sill. I use it all the time, and the bettery holds up.

3.0 out of 5 stars Was great until it died, September 2, 2007

This review is from: Black and Decker 7.2-Volt Wet/Dry DustBuster (Kitchen)
I bought this little vac 2 years ago and it was great until about 1 month ago (almost exactly 2 weeks after the warranty lapsed!!) it stopped holding a charge. Of course it doesn't make sense for me to get it repaired at this point because I can get a new one for about $20. However I think it's a sad state of affairs that any small appliance I buy these days seems to last about 2 years and then is worthless. Now I have to throw this one away but I can't just put it in the garbage because it contains a toxic rechargeable battery. One more poorly-made small appliance that will be entering the waste stream. I remember when you bought an appliance and it lasted 5 or 10 years. Not any more.
