My motivation for buying the Navigator was to use it with various blades to cut 4" pvc pipe, tree limbs, etc. instead of using handsaws. It does all of this fairly well, but it would perform much better if B&D came out with a wider assortment of blades. At just 3.4 amps, this saw is not overly well powered and thus it should have an assortment of blades available so as to maximize the efficiency of the cutting action.

The wide woodcutting blade listed here has teeth that are fairly fine - which is good for precise cuts in material such as pvc pipe and lumber, but not so good when cutting tree limbs or any other situation where you want an agressive cut. In my opinion B&D needs to come up with some more blade options for cutting wood!

After using the wood cutting blade I found it to be very usefull in not only cutting 2'x 4's but have also used it for cutting branches. It's long lasting feature is a plus.

The available blades for the Black & Decker Navigator electric handsaw are ok for the applications that these blades are designed for, but for heavy-duty cutting more aggressive blades are needed--especially for cutting thick tree trunks & limbs. It would help greatly if the Navigator were redesigned to allow using commonly available saber-saw blades.

I was very dissappointed in the blade. I used it to cut some dead limbs and it cut really slow and not very large limbs either. I would hate to think how long it would take to cut a 2x4. I guess it would be alright for really soft wood or really small limbs and not oak and as long as you are not in a hurry. I would not recomend this blade save your money and use it to buy a good wood saw.

I purchased this saw about 6 months ago and cannot tell you how happy I have been with it. I recently had to purchase additional blades and couldn't find them anywhere except on Amazon. Thanks Amazon for being there when I need you.

These blades cut fast and are great if you need to cutoff something flush in a tight spot. Much easier to use than a sawsall. It will cut 6"x6" as easy as 1"x2". I have used it to cut off door legs for carpet or tile installation. They also make a metal cutting blade. For more information check out the Black and Decker website.

I am a contractor and my crew loves this saw. It is the go to tool when nothing else will work as well. When you have to hang off a ladder cutting plumb cuts in 4" X 12" roof beams, nothing else comes close. It is light and easy to handle with one hand. Of course it cuts PVC & ABS pipes, but it also makes very nice clean cuts in lumber due to its wide blade. If you need to cut tree limbs, get a chain saw.

I have had a blade like this for years and now it was time to get a new one. The quality has been maintained and I find this blade very useful.

I couldn't find replacement blades ANYWHERE! I looked on Amazon & found them for a great price & I received them within a few days. I am very happy!

I have used this blade to trim a huge tree with ease. This blade cuts difficult branches very well. A real godsend.
