If you own the Black and Decker workbench, these pegs are good to have in addition to the four pegs you get with the workbench. They come in handy from time to time. Not essential but useful.

The Workmate pegs are the perfect accessory for the used workmate I purchased at GoodWill. Now I can clamp small strips of wood for sanding and planing, and fold the whole apparatus away when I'm done. Living in a small apartment, I miss my full basement workshop, but the versatility of the pegs allows me to do a lot of tasks with hand tools that I could not do before.

I love my B & D Workmate 425, but what one needs along with one's work bench is an ample amount of these little demons. A real proud and able cheapo could fabricate his own, but if you want the proprietary ones, bite the bullet on price.

They amount to about $1.50 - $2.00 a piece, I guess; but to save the effort, to get up and doing, to approach the addition to your tools and such with a quickness-- you pick up a 4-pack or two and start getting things fixed or fabricated ASAP in terms of the process with projects.

Don't know what has changed, but I bought these for a workmate that is ~15 yrs old. None of these pegs fit in any of the workmate holes! I'm going to have to sand them down to use. I can't believe that they would make the peg holes bigger on later models...

Bought a package of 4 Black & Decker swivel grip pegs today. Slightly oversized from previous swivel grips. They do not fit either of my two Workmates -- one is a less than 2 year old Workmate WM-125, the other is an older Workmate similar to WM-225. Package and B&W website say fits all B& W Workmate products - not true!

these pegs fit the 20mm holes in the Festool MFT tables perfectly - and they are a lot cheaper than festool bench dogs and clamps or 3rd party bench dogs like Quas dogs. They fit so well in fact, that you can cut the bottom clips off if you wish. They are not precision fit aircraft grade aluminum like the Quas dogs, just plain plastic, but for what a set of Quas dogs cost you can buy several dozen of these and re-shape them with your jig saw or propane torch to fit your needs.

update: I just noticed that Rockler had their equivalent bench dogs on sale for 4 for $2.99 In their July, 2011 catalog! (Rockler item#64256)!

I have a Workmate I bought in 1979 -- B&D Deluxe Dual Height, No. 79-005-04. These replacement pegs fit perfectly. They're studier than the original (black) pegs, but about 3/16ths higher. They're also about 1/4" wider and deeper. The last of those means you basically can't mix them with the old pegs on the same side of a board, but there's probably little reason to try that anyway.

These little peg grips are what they are. They are peg grips for a Black and Decker Workmate. I was given my workmate by my father in-law and it did not have all four peg grips. These came quickly and I did not need to trim or sand to get them to fit. Now that I have all four peg grips, the workmate is a lot more versatile. For a little more the $6, pick up a pack.

If you don't have the swivel grip pegs for a workmate? Your workmate is useless. I recently bought a 300 workmate at an auction and it didn't have the pegs. The very first thing that I did was to get online. I went to amazon.com and ordered the pegs. I was doing some sanding and I needed them to hold on to the wood. Some of the wood pieces where irregular but, the swivel pegs work great at holding the pieces still and in place so that I could get them sanded.

Update! I put each upside down in a vise, folded a piece of sandpaper along its length to make a belt of two sided sandpaper about 1" wide. I then see-sawed the sandpaper back and forth evenly around all sides of the peg and test fitted until it fits fine now. Certainly not "fits all" out of the package but it was not difficult to make it fit without ruining the round shape. I updated my rating to 3 stars.

Just received this product. Package says it fits ALL B&D Workmates. NOT SO, it is about 1/32 larger than the holes in my workmate. The pegs that came with the workmate fit loosely, these don't even go into the holes. Not sure if it is worth sending them back or try to modify them to work. Don't recommend them.
