Good, but not great.,
This review is from: Black & Decker #BDC318R-2 3PC 18V Drill Combo Kit (Misc.)
Item comes in a new box, but it is old stock. All but the battery screwdriver are currently discontinued by B&D. The cordless drill is also not variable speed, which makes a huge difference when using it to run in screws. This one is full speed or nothing. The saw is variable speed, however. No cases are included either, but the product description doesn't advertise them either. I've just come to expect them with other cordless tools.

Actually, i was just looking for a 18 Volt Reciprocating saw. When I saw this in a bundle I knew that this was what I wanted. If you look to just buy a reciprocating saw by itself, this bundle is from $10-20 more then what sells on ebay or anywhere else. The extra 2-18 volt batteries, drill, single battery charges, and cordless screwdriver were a bonus. Just one battery would have run $20 if anything. The reciprocating saw works very well for the cutting i am doing. It is light and well balanced for me. The drill works well as i will have this for use around the house. Nicely balanced and not too heavy. The cordless screwdriver is really nice to have too. The batteries that came with it were already corroded indicating that the box had been on the shelf for some time. But bought some more and the screwdriver is really nice to have. I am doing some remodeling around my mobile home and this is great for using on light switches and stuff. No more constantly turning a screwdriver now I just hit the button. The only problem was that the 18 volt batteries were a little snug to fit in. I had to hit it a little to push it into place. I had the same problem with trying to put in the Firestorm 18v batteries so it is not the battery itself now, but the tool battery receptacle. But once snapped in the battery was snug and no movement. FYI, the Firestorm batteries last longer then the regular B&D batteries as I found out. Firestorm and B&D batters use different chargers though. But again, a minor difference. So if you do buy a 18V battery, buy the extended batteries. Overall, the package is a super buy. Although B&D is getting rid of Firestorm, the 18volt batteries will work with B&D 18v batteries. If you got to have a reciprocating saw buy the package and get the extra batteries. The saws online sold by themselves if you notice do not include batteries or charger. Price these seperately and they total more then this combo kit. One minor con was the corroded AA batteries. Overall though, price and delivery were great and fast. The seller and product get a 5 stars from me.

I had an 18 Volt Drill and wanted another battery. Rather then paying $35 for 1 battery I bought this set for $49.99. I read what "A. Whaples" said about the batteries not fitting other B&D devices and took a chance. He was right, because the new drill is dual speed the batteries have 2 additional prongs that don't slide into my old drill. One of the prongs is "L" shaped and is the one that causes the problem. That prong is not used by any of the devices I have or the ones that came in this kit, so I used my Dremel to remove the bottom of the "L". I didn't remove it completely, just reshaped it so it would slide into my old drill. Now I have 2 new batteries that work with all my stuff. This worked for me but depending on your device it might cause problems. (Modify at your own risk!)
