This Oscillating Black & Decker Ceramic heater fan also includes a series of safey features. Foremost is the exclusive Fireshield. This component is an ACLI power cord that not only turns the heater off if a shock hazard exists, but also turns the heater off if the line cord is damaged. The unit will also shut itself off when the unit is picked up or if it loses contact with the surface on which it is operating. In addition, it also features the added safety of auto shut off if the heater unit overheats. For convenience, this unit includes a frost watch thermostat - it can be set so that if room temperature drops below approximately 40 degrees, the heater will turn on to heat the room and prevent frost damage. Additional conveniences include a soft touch handle with cool touch housing and a fan only setting so it can be used year round.

Wonderful heater, excellent for three season room!,

We got this heater today and we are thrilled with its performance. It was pretty cold this evening and we were having a birthday party. We wanted to do presents in our 14'x14' three season room, but it was very chilly. Within minutes of plugging in our new heater, the entire room was comfortable. It has three settings for small, medium and large size rooms. It rotates so the heat isn't focused on one area, and the outside base stays cool. The safety features are wonderful since we have two dogs and two children. It can't burn them, or start a fire due to the automatic shut off features. I think this is an excellent value for the price. It is very light weight and will sit easily on our plant stand or stereo cabinet. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a little extra heat.

I love this heater.We have used it for maybe three years. It heats up my big garage for my animals in the coldest winter.It is safe because of the cutoff feature if it is tipped. I was searching to find two more to purchase but can't seem to find them now. I guess they dont make this model anymore.
