Not quite 90, but still...,

This review is from: Black & Decker BDL400S Bullseye Crosshair 90-Degree Auto Leveling Interior Line Laser (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this more for the fun. The feature set - an autoleveling or fixed 90 dg. set of laser lines is very useful. The tool comes well equipped in a fitted case - nicely done, that.
The autolevel horizontal line is right on - as checked with a Stabila 6'6" level in a recent kitchen install. It was quite useful. B&D claims a perfect 90. You wish. Over on the pro side, you pay upwards of $250 for +/- 1/4" at 100', so for $50, you get less. Mine was 89.86 dgs as checked on a 20' right triangle. I have to cheat it open 1/4" in 9' to do tile grid layouts. Bottom line: it got stolen and I want another.

B&D CrossHair,
By A Customer
This review is from: Black & Decker BDL400S Bullseye Crosshair 90-Degree Auto Leveling Interior Line Laser (Tools & Home Improvement)
This tool is easy to use and adequate for the weekend DIY'er. It only illuminates two laser lines (up and to the right) which can be a limiting feature. Lines, however, were level at short distances (less than 10'). I have no desire to have to use the marking target for greater distances. Lock layout feature is good. Quality of beam is adequate to poor - you have to decide whether to save the line or split it when marking - line fades near end of projection and in places completely dissappears on wall (smooth, previously painted drywall). Marking for pin-up to wall is good b/c it is in line w/both beams. For myself - this gadget is going back where it came from while I look for something else. For the money - you get what you pay for - avoid the stud finder combo.

Different Mounting,
By PastryGeek (Pawtucket, RI, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Black & Decker BDL400S Bullseye Crosshair 90-Degree Auto Leveling Interior Line Laser (Tools & Home Improvement)
The Bullseye performed well,as promised and I found it to be well worth the price. I do have one minor compalint, that being the use of a standard nail to mount in materials other than dry wall(using the provided mounting pins) I have the old plaster walls and as anyone who has had to mount into plaster can tell you, that no matter what you do(drilling, nailing, etc)it is difficult at best to get a good result. So, using the Bullseye with a nail is a little cumbersome.
