We use our blender 2-4 times a week, and they typically have a lifespan of about 1-3 years, so after doing a ton of research I figured it would be more cost effective to buy a cheap blender every couple of years than shell out several hundred dollars for a really expensive blender that would last up to ten years. However the crush master was just not built well. It left chunks of ice in the jar and did not have enough power to make a "smooth" smoothie. You had to constantly stir to get the contents to blend. The third time using it, one of the plastic gears broke off of the bottom. Amazon was great about the return. I printed out the return label and they sent UPS to pick it up the next day. A week later I got fully refunded for the purchase. So after that we decided to spend a bit more money and went with the oster classic beehive blender (which you can also buy on amazon). It works wonderfully, has a metal gear drive, higher wattage and crushes up magaritas and smoothies in seconds. In the future I will keep our blenders in the 60-80 dollar range as it seems like anything cheaper than that is just not going to work in our household.

We have had our blender for about two months, and we use it all the time. We use it to make smoothies, milkshakes, and we use it for cooking. It is very powerful and can blend anything. The thing we love most about it is how easy it is to clean up. The bottom isn't cupped so it makes it easy to get a wet rag in and wipe it off. And if something spills it just drips down the side and doesn't get trapped inside. The price was awesome and it arrived sooner than expected. We would recommend this blender to anyone.

I purchased this item a few weeks ago and I have been happy overall with it. It was reasonably priced ($30) and looked like it had more power, speeds settings and features than comparable products. I use it primarily for making smoothies/frozen drinks and it performs very well, I also use it to blend food for cooking. I particularly like the heavy glass pitcher which has contours on the inside to guide the contents back down into the blades. Great design there as well as the latching bottom of the pitcher into the base. Very solid and powerful unit when assembled and full. The only thing I don't like about this is the design of the lid. The clear plastic cap in the middle of the lid does not snap in securely enough to allow you to remove the entire lid assembly (which must be grasped at the outside rim, rather wide for small hands). Overall a great purchase.

Very nice blender, easy to use and to clean up and it CRUSHES ICE AS ADVERTISED!!!!

If you use your blender every day, then don't buy this blender. I make smoothies every morning and sometimes use my blender a second time in the day to make sauces. And one day it just gave out on me and stopped working. I only had the blender for a month, and I don't think I blend any difficult items.

I ordered this product based on the reviews and the Black and Decker name. I am not impressed. I tried to crush ice to make frozen lemonade and the bottom liquified and the top stayed solid. My husband used it to make a milkshake and he had to shake it at least three times to make it blend the entire batch. I made a fresh fruit smoothie for my daughter and it worked fine after shaking it several times. It is a cheap blender and I would not buy it again.

I first thought at first when I was ordering man this maybe cheap, but after I got it boy was I very wrong. This product works so good I am thinking about ordering another just in case they stop making them for future use. I love this thing. It is the strongest & most powerful blender that I have ever used. It chops ice like I have a little tornado or something inside of the blender pitcher. The thing blends so quick I am always surprised at the speed of shredding what ever I throw at it. This is perfect for my way of life & for everyday use because my special diet depends on this blender & I love it & with this blending possibility health wise I am all the wiser & even my doctor said to me your looking better because I have been blending more vegetables in my fruit smoothies along with no sugar but with Agave Nectar & everything is working out very well. Buy this blender from this seller & you will not be dissatisfied, but only satisfied. I feel like I purchased an expensive blender. Price very excellent for the quality.

Update: Well the blender is going bad now & I do not blame it because my mother used it & after that it went bad like all of 4 blenders my mom came over & used, because she is one of those people that is old school that holds down the top & with these cheap plastic teethed blenders on the pitcher that is a no no & you can't do that because it burns out the motor's & wear's down the cheap plastic teeth on the cheap plastic pitchers. I am now about to purchase a Breville Blender with stainless still pieces instead of cheap plastic the other companies put on there's & it cost a lot more, but hopefully will last longer & last my mom the blender destroyer when she visits (he he).

I bought this blender 1 month ago after reading awesome reviews. I use it almost every day for protein shakes and just yesterday while it was blending it started to smoke from the base, stopped working then flames came out from the top of the base. I had to throw water on it to make it stop. I called the Black and Decker customer support since there is a warranty on this but I have yet to get through to anyone.

It might be worth it to spend some more money of a high-quality product if you will be blending a lot.

Altho put-off by the negative reviews, ordered because the price was right. Fast shipping, of course, and used right out of the box for a quick smoothie. No problems with ice grinding and ingredient combining. Handy slot in lid that allows for adding ingredients. Multiply buttons for various application and recipes. Glass jar for easy cleaning. No jar/blade assembly or disassembly problems. All worked well; was pleased. Hoping for a long product life, unlike the experience of other customers.

This is not a good blender. It is my 2nd Black and Decker blender and I will never buy another one from them. The black plastic piece on the bottom broke shortly after my first review. I only use it for smoothies. Additionally, there are always are pockets that causes me to constantly be relieving it, every five seconds. This gets annoying. I have nothing to compare this to because as I said my last blender was a B&D as well and I just don't know if it has something to do with the shape of the pitcher or what. Also, the rubber gasket doesn't work very well.

Avoid buying this blender.
