I bought this model for $39.95 from Big Lots. The motor caught on fire the other day when I was using it for only the second time! Of course I hadn't sent in the warranty card.

The worst yard investment I ever made. Days after the warranty expired it started sparking and caught on fire. Do not waste your money on this paper weight.

I too bought this at Big Lots. Worked good a couple times but then slowed down
and started sparking on the armature and smelled like plastic burning.
Took it apart, cleaned the brushes and armature (which had a dead spot)
tried again with no luck. I'm going to see how much a replacement motor is
since I hate to throw out all that plastic to buy a new one.
