This Black and Decker mitre saw is a great value for the money. The free extension wings, dust bag and stop block are a terrific bonus! The motor is extremely powerful and the action is very smooth. The nine positive stops come in very handy. The electric brake is a great feature and a necessity for a machine like this. Blade changes are made quickly and easily. I have added an 80T thin kerf blade and have produced supperior quality cuts! My only complaint is that B&D does not produce a hold down clamp of any type for this unit. If a clamp was available this would be a five star mitre saw for the home user!!

Works very well with most wood stock. The blade provided isn't ideal. I replaced mine with an 80 tooth fine crosscut blade. Also the addition of one or two clamps would have made this saw a real winner. Blade stop works very well. Dust bag support rod needs to be made stronger. I broke mine the first day and rebuilt it stronger.

Pound for pound this Compound Miter is best saw available for the "Harry" homeowner. The extensions coupled with a surprisingly strong motor add to this already good deal. The cuts this unit can make are smooth and accurate. Really if you aren't a "pro".... buy this unit. It comes with a 2 Year warranty (most Industrial units offer 1 year), and is backed by the best service powertool company: Black & Decker! Accessories and replacements are easy to obtain. [...]
