Be sure the Dustbuster has a good battery,

I received this charger, hung it on the wall, began charging the Dustbuster and within a few minutes the powerblock (the part you plug in) was very hot and the charging light had gone out on the unit. Looks like I had a shorted battery in the Dustbuster that ultimately ruined the charger just minutes after I got it. Not too sure how to check the battery, but I simply went out and bought a new Dustbuster and threw the whole old set away. New one works better than the old one ever did anyway. I just could have saved the purchase price of this charger by doing this sooner.

Had two Dust Busters, only one charger. Since I hadn't found a used charger at yard sales or through Free Cycle, this was the next best choice and all is good now. Original Dust Buster charger and good service.
