1.0 out of 5 stars worthless warranty, April 16, 2009
Most of the time this can opener fails to pierce the can lid. When I attempted to get it repaired or replaced I discovered they want $7.50 to cover "shipping and handling". The product carries the Black and Decker name but is made by a company called Applica.

1.0 out of 5 stars Failed to open cans after a few months, November 14, 2010
This review is from: Black & Decker CO450 Tall Can Opener, White (Kitchen)
It's a POS. I removed to back cover and noticed the gear is supported by a skinny rod attached to the plastic case which is not strong enough to keep the little gear from slipping against the gear driving the can spinner. Birdbrain design!!!
I used to trust Black & Decker - how can one trust morons!
