5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME product
I commute to NYC 5 days a week. I use this product to charge my MP3 player while I am riding on the bus. This way during the hour I no longer run out of tunes before my bus ride is over. Without tunes an hour on the bus can get very long. This product is well worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Long, Long recharge times...Short, Short charging levels
PROS: Small, easy to carry. USB and AC outlets. No need for a separate inverter.
CONS: This device takes 11 hours to fully recharge! Some devices can cause the Power-to-Go device to get very hot. Pretty bulky when you consider it cannot even fully recharge a tiny MP3 player like the iPod Nano.

I thought that this device would be able to fully recharge...

I thought that this device would be able to fully recharge my at least my iPod Nano. I plugged it in when my Nano was at 50% and the Power-to-Go lost all it's juice before the Nano was even at 100%! The Power-to-Go was able to give me an extra bar of battery life on my LG LX8000 phone, but that was about it. Also when I unplugged my cell phone charger from the Power-to-Go, the metals plugs of my charger were very hot. The manual recommends that the Power-to-Go not be left unattended and that it be monitored for rises in temperature. I guess this device would be helpful for dire emergencies, but don't expect your electronic devices to be fully charged. Despite the small charge the Power-to-Go gives out, the power supply itself needs 11 hours to fully recharge from a fully discharged state. I've never owned any small electronic device that needed such a long recharge time.

Looking that the three versions of this 10W, 20W, 100W, I found the technical details on the B+D site helpful:

This Model # CPI10B has a 700mAh battery, the 20W a 2Ah battery, and the 100W a 4Ah battery. It looks like they are progressively heavier, but I can't find accurate figures on weight or dimensions.

Input - 7.2 VDC, 2.5A
Output - 115V AC 60Hz, 8W continuous
Battery - 700mAh, NiMH
USB - 5V DC (350 mA)

Got one of these for Christmas, plugged it in to charge, and left it for about two weeks. Then I tried it with my cell phone charger- it would have none of that. Tried a very small table radio. Nope. Finally charged my iPod Nano... for about four minutes before falling over dead. Now it's heading to take up landfill space.

This device stinks. It takes over a day to charge, and it can barely provide any power. Don't buy this.

It does work, but carefully read the wattage of what you want to plug in. I didn't. Keep thinking: 10 watts, 10 watts, 10 watts.

The one I bought will not hold a charge long enough to be worth carrying around. Dead within a day without being used.

I bought 3 of these battery packs because i hav a 20 and a 100 battery backup. well I thought these might do good for a game or a cell while on the road at times... WRONG!!!!!! As I said I bought3, and when i started to charge the first one I set it aside for about 2 hours and came back and it was charged. GREAT!!! then I hooked up the second one and did the same and came bac to it in about 2 more hours and it indicated that it was DEAD no life at all. So I let it charge for an additional amout of time. well 6 hours more and it was still DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I decided to try the 3rd one and hooked it up and charged it for about 2 hours and checked to see if it was holding a charge and NOPE!!!!! it wasnt charging either. the first battery pack held a chrge for about one day and that wasn't any where near a full charge back up. I tried to recharge it agin and none of these batteries are working. I suppose they have become the next best thing and that is an over priced paper weight.Black & Decker CPI10B 10 Watt Power To Go Cordless Compact AC/USB Power Supply (Black)

Even after charging over night, the B&D CPI10B would not hold a charge for even one second. I returned it.

If you search for pifmg, UPA-BAT-4, you will find a product that is inexpensive, works, and has twice the rated battery power as the B&D product, but it only will provide power to USB devices (not to A/C devices). Combine it with POWER-USB-AC-1 and you'll have a nice UPS for a low power USB device (which is what I was looking for in the first place)

This product not recommend it for anything !!!!!!! Now two years since I bought it and never served as explains the product description on the Amazon site. The battery that comes not have enough power to charge anything! It downloads just plug in a cell phone or iPod. No good! He gave me a lot of pain because he lost the money because I do not live in the United States could not return the product for that I could return the money. Do not buy it. Find a better brand product if they ensure their effectiveness. Nor brought the cable to upload or manual.
Agents should check Amazon or alert when a product is considered to have many flaws.
