The FireStorm features an in-line blade design. The handle and blade line up straight to help ensure accurate results. It also boasts Black & Decker's exclusive Sight-Line window, which allows the operator to maintain a clear overhead view of the cut line at all times. The blade itself is thinner than standard circular saw blades, so it removes less material, reducing spoilage and boosting efficiency. With an operating speed of 2,200 rpm and the highest torque in its class (50 in./lbs.), the FireStorm can power through 2x lumber and cut up to 70 2x4s on a single charge. No power, not much of anything, I had it in case of emergency and with Katrina it was. Ended up having to use a hand saw. You might want to consider spending a bit more but get what you should worth the money.

Bought this item for my wife for yardwork-tree branches and the like. Then the charger took a dump-Can't figure out why. It was a clearance item at Amazon.com partner Target. But guess what? Black and Decker changed batteries/chargers and you can't buy the older ones anywhere! You can drop $60+ dollars on a DeWalt charger, or scrap the whole kit and kaboodle. So we now own a 10 pound paperweight. Yipee.
