Product Description

Amazon.com Review

This countertop convection oven has room for roasting a chicken, broiling three steaks or a mess of burgers, toasting six slices of bread, or baking macaroni and cheese in a 3-quart casserole. Because it circulates hot air, the 1,500-watt oven cooks faster and more uniformly than a conventional oven. Baking and roasting temperatures adjust through a range of 200 to 450 degrees F, and another dial with three settings controls toast browning. A 90-minute timer automatically turns off the oven after a selected period. For easy cleaning, the interior is nonstick and a slide-out tray catches toast crumbs. The oven is housed in matte-finish white plastic and has a glass door with a matte-gray handle for contemporary styling. Accompanying the oven are a 9-by-12-inch aluminum baking pan with a broiling insert and a slide-out rack. The oven measures 19-3/4 inches wide, 10-1/2 inches high, and 14-1/4 inches deep and carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

1.0 out of 5 stars Unpredictable results, September 1, 2002

We had two of these and both produced unpredictable results. The broil setting would often broil full-on or cycle off and on turning a broiling attempt into a baking. Also there is only one level to put the wire rack on so when toasting the top toasts well but the bottom is either undercooked or burned near to the heating coils. Putting an item inside with a aluminum foil cover would often make the unit cycle on and off every few seconds with annoying loud clicks probably due to the reflected heat from the foil. Cooking times became unpredictable due to the weird cycling on/off making the oven useless for following cooking times in recipes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective twice, June 7, 2002

First oven received: Toaster worked. Oven did not.

Second oven: Oven worked. Toaster did not.

These ovens were tested by two people using different outlets, and each got the same result.

Disappointed to say the least, for the time being, I shall buy a toaster!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great convection oven!!, December 3, 2006
This review is from: Black & Decker CTO9000 Dining-In Convection Oven/Broiler (Kitchen)
My real oven went out and I was forced to use this in the mean time till I bought a new oven. Everything came out great and I had no problems with the oven.
