Use it to decorate your kitchen. Don't bother plugging in,

Update: I moved away from cheap toaster ovens and got the Cusinart TOB-50. I've had it for nearly a year now, and it's been great, no failures, heavy use. It's pricier but very worth it. Better than the Classic Toast-R-Oven and very usable, unlike this piece of junk.
I got this toaster because the $30 Classic Toast-R-Oven from B&D did fine (but the toast switch kept failing). I thought that the price premium was for the brushed metal look on the Classic TRO. (The Classic does fine for toasting bread. It's literally a disposable toaster oven. Use it for a year or two, then toss it when you burn enough cheese inside it) THIS one, however, is a piece of junk. It's great until you use it. Toast burns on one side before looking toasted on the other. It takes way longer to toast and the timer moves the whole toaster around so you have to hold it too. While this one has one heating element at the bottom, it has only one on top, not two like the Classic TRO. Even though you can place the rack very high, hoping to get even toasting, the bottom still gets done faster. It isn't even evenly toasted on one side - maybe the metal housing conducts heat away or something, but one part of the toasted side gets darker. A total failure as a toaster. As a toaster oven, the unevenness also comes in, but I don't seriously bake stuff here. Just open-faced sandwiches, or reheating pizza etc. This appliance does a lousy job with those as well. I got mine at Target, and I returned it. Buyer beware. I wouldn't take it for free.

Horrible toaster oven,

We just received this for Christmas and it it the worst toaster oven ever. Not only does it take two cycles to actually toast, but in order to get the top brown, you end up with a partially burnt underside. But, that isn't even the worst part. This thing is HOT, really hot and I'm very leery of having it burn the cord and starting a fire, not to mention burning my hands if I forget and push it around after using it. What a total piece of junk, avoid it like the plague. I'm taking it back.

I bought this toaster oven a few months ago. It clicks like a timer. It always burns one side and doesn't cook the other. Then the light stopped working, so you couldn't tell if it was on or not. Then it started just sometimes not shutting off. I would put all switches on off, and come back and find it very hot much later. Very dangerous. It has finally just stopped working all together. Good riddance!!!
