this is a very good book for someone doing home repairs or improvements in their house. it tells you how to work on and finish walls and texture them to match the rest of the walls.

This is a great book! Just about everything having to do with finishing walls is here -- there is even a helpful chapter on framing a partition wall if you are feeling ambitious. The instructions are straightforward and sequenced well. Each section has a materials list that includes alternatives. All phases of the instructions are illustrated with clear, uncluttered photographs. I had this book from the library, and renewed it too many times to count! If I was making improvemennts for a new edition, my only change would be a better index, but otherwise this book is perfect.

Covers a LOT of ground, but leaves even more QUESTIONS than it solves. With this book you could start a conversation with the person you'll need to hire or if you trust a big box clerk. Which is what it is designed to do, get you to the BIG BOX.
