It does what it is supposed to do - it gives me the leverage and "claw" that I need to break up or mix soil, since I don't have great arm strength. I got this at a great price on Amazon, so am very happy with my purchase. I expected a quality product from Black & Decker and received it. A bonus that I didn't expect was that I really like the "ergonomic" handle. It has a curved "V" shape that your fingers can grab more easily than a round handle. One note - the tool came in a gigantic box - my family got a good laugh when I got home and opened it. They were expecting a piece of furniture or something! Seems like it could have been shipped in a box about a fourth of the size.
