1.0 out of 5 stars Its a "leaker"!, September 5, 2005

The digital control is awesome however, getting water all over your pants when the Iron (starts up, user adds water, change temp settings) makes me wish I didn't drop and break my Rowenta. If B&D had focused on the mechanical design for this Iron it could have been the perfect Iron.
More power would be nice (ie 1700 watts) along with leak protection. Another use full feature would be two button input (+-). The other feature I like about the irons digital control is that it tells you when it's at the right temperature. However, all aside the Iron's first primary mission is to produce steam not dispense water. That why I rate this Iron a 1.

3.0 out of 5 stars Control problems, December 21, 2006
This review is from: Black & Decker D2010 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron (Kitchen)
I give this iron 3 stars because I can get the wrinkles out well with it. I subtract 2 stars for inconvenient and poorly designed controls.

To set the temperature, you have to repeatedly press a button to scroll through the settings (don't accidentally miss it, or you're in for more button pressing).

Worse yet is the steam setting, which is a ring that rotates from left to right. It doesn't stay where I put it. Countless times I've wondered why I was having trouble, only to notice that it had slipped from maximum steam to low or medium.

Two stars off for poor quality controls.

love this one - both my husband and I use our iron every morning and we have had quite a number of them. By far the best one so far!
