Makes a great cup of coffee. BIG problem is the sound. Yes. The sound.

It has excellent water fill levels so that you get exactly the amount of coffee you need. Its quick and brews perfectly. But when its done brewing it lets out three or four blaring tones/alarms. The kicker is, you cannot turn that function off!

If you like to set up the pot the night before, and do not want the whole house wakened by the pots cacophony, get the next version down (DCM2500W). It does everything this one does but it doesn't scream at you.

This is a common sence, great machine. No coffee grounds spilling over the counter. Easy dishwasher cleaning. Easy to use and program. Great audible signals for coffee ready and warmer off. Great looking. Best of all, a fraction of the price of my last hoydy toydy designer machine that I couldn't trust to program overnight. Buy this thing.

After having had several expensive coffee makers, most of which broke down way too soon, I decided to try a cheaper model to see if there really was a difference. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It makes a good cup of coffee and I like the fact that the hot plate can be set to your temperature preference. There are two easy-to-read water level indicators and the wide spout on the carafe prevents spillage as you pour. As far as the audible "beeps" that people have complained about... yes, the thing beeps loudly four times when the pot is brewed. The beeps last a few seconds. Hardly a life-shattering experience. I would definitely recommend this product for those looking for a decent coffee maker at a reasonable price.

This is my second maker, but both have suddenly stopped working.

I purchased this from Amazon, arrived, used it for 1 week until the water hose came off due the heat. I wasn't very happy with the water going all over the counter and into the drawers. I called the 800 numbers, told them of the problems, they said to cut the plug with the I.D. tag, with a check for $7 and change. They sent a new one that I have been using for 3-4 weeks now and it has not broken YET!!!??? I could have purchased at the store for less than the original price plus the $7!
