The Black & Decker cordless shrubber is ideal for trimming and shaping small shrubs around the yard, as well as touch-ups on larger trimming work. The ergonomic and lightweight design allows for better control and less fatigue. Providing cordless convenience, this tool comes with a rechargeable 6-volt NiCad integral battery which gives approximately 30 minutes of run-time and a 16-hour external battery charger which plugs easily into any household outlet. Using machine-sharpened 6-inch steel blades, this shrubber quickly and cleanly trims shrubs and bushes in either direction and features an integrated lock-off button to prevent accidental start-ups for added safety. This product weighs just over 2 pounds and comes with a 2-year warranty. This grass shear also accepts the Black & Decker upright extension handle (sold separately) for more comfortable standing use and greater reach.

I've been very pleased with this shrubber. I was skeptical after reading the reviews but after a few days I can truly say I've been pleased. My shrubs had become very overgrown, but this shrubber did the trick on them and cut them down to size in no time at all, even larger branches. I was expecting the battery charge to last me only a few bushes at a time, but it keeps going and going!! Yesterday I worked on a dozen shrubs for an hour and a half until I was tired out and the shrubber still had a little charge left! So I'm sold on this little dynamo!

I purchased this tool because I have quite a few small boxwoods that I need to trim. I thought a small shrubber like this would be great, especially since it is cordless. However, the slow cutting speed makes it inadequate for the job, and the battery makes it quite heavy, not ideal when you have more than a few shrubs to trim. I am using my manual hedge shears again.

Seems nicely made and is easy to handle. However it's slow cutting speed and low power make it a tool only for cutting new soft growth. Even for that application I see it useful only for small jobs.
It handles easily and holds a charge for longer than I would want to use it. The small size is an asset. It would be a good addition to a tool set that included a powerful, full size trimmer.

Little Gem
This is great for the light duty gardener or trimmer, especially on leafy or small scale branches or stems. Excellent for shaping and 1 hand use. Good value.

Trimmer
I bought this trimmer to trim up dead flowers. If the stems are larger than the space between the teeth it will not work. But, it works wonderful on small bushes and hedges. Read more
