I've had a similar Black and Decker can opener for years and ordered this updated version hoping for the same service. It was not to be. It did open the cans smoothly but the magnetic lid holder failed within the first week of use. Examining this part of the product you can easily see that it is made poorly and even a replacement is likely to fail quickly so I returned this product and will purchase another brand/model.
I am a long time customer of Amazon but never needed to return a product before. The good part of this experience is that I did learn that it is easy to return items and that they will even pay for the shipping.

Positive:
Doesn't drop the lid back into your food Won't leave label shavings on your counter Doesn't splash juice when opening can Opens cleanly without metal shavings Negative: Knife sharpener doesn't work too well.
