Positive - it runs very smooth and opens beautifully when it works, for maybe 9-12 months, just long enough to get past the warranty. Does open large cans easily, again, when it works. Negatives -must be more plastic gears, it works great but will not shut off even after can is removed. You have to unplug and wait. Very annoying when making a large pot of chili, etc., when there are 8-10 cans to be opened. Also, will not open, it NEVER did, small cans of tomato paste, I have to get out the crank opener. The small can just will not puncture and turn. Would NOT purchase again, would not recommend.

Cheap, cheap, cheap!!! The magnet won't stay on the opener and I end up with both it and the top INSIDE the can of food. Huh? Also won't stop running sometimes, even after the can is opened. Don't waste your money....

I made the mistake of purchasing a second black and decker can opener after I threw the first one in the garbage! The second one would not open a can either..... so guess where it is going!

This experience has made a believer out of me.... once fooled shame on you...twice fooled shame on me. Black and Decker will NEVER get another penny of my money.

If I could give this product a minus star I certainly would!

This is the most worthless piece of junk that I have ever bought.You may be able to open a bottle cap but you will not be able to open a can. A waste of time, effort and money. How have B&D been able to rip customers off with this is beyond me.

This can opener is okay for the price. Not the greatest quality but will do the job. Extra tall size is great for larger cans. Shipped kinda slow compared to other items I ordered at same time.

This is a good product, works well and is a good price. It does not take up a lot of counter space and does a good job. Easy to use.

Warning ! Warning ! This piece of junk doesn't do anything. It takes an act of congress to make this cheap so called opener do what its susppose to do Open Cans. I took it back and got my money refunded. Do not buy. I put another $18 in the pot and bought a Hamilton Beach, which does an excellent job.

I bought this at WalMart but was so irritated, I wanted to warn everyone I could. This opener will not hold onto the can. On the rare occasion it does, it will cut for about 1/4 of an inch then drops the can off the blade. It opened one can when I took it out of the box before malfunctioning. Worst can opener ever! If there was a rating below 1 star, I would choose that.

First thing is we purchased this opener from Walmart. That being said, it has irritated me enough to get on and post a review. This is a horrible can opener. It takes about 6 tries to get it to "take" the can; many times it just drops the can. Its hard to get the lever aligned just right to take it off and clean it. Paper shreds. For your own sanity, don't do it.
