5.0 out of 5 stars Electric knife
It is the only electric knife I can use with my small hands. It is a great value for this hard to find item. I have been using this model knife for the past 25 years.

2.0 out of 5 stars Black and Decker electric knife
This item was supposed to arrive WITH a storage case. It did not. There is no protection form the edge of the knife blades for storage. The knife had trouble cutting through a heavy bread crust. I really liked the previous mod of this knife (ERGO). There must be better electric knives in the market place...

5.0 out of 5 stars Electric Knives, September 25, 2010

My Wife has worn out a number of electric knives including two Cuisinart Electric Knives. Her latest was a Wolfgang Puck Electric Knife which she threw across the room because of the unwieldy long blades. So we went back to the Black & Decker EK700, which she started with. It is easy to use and takes on tough jobs with no problem.

the B&D electric knife lived up to the excellent review given by the America's Test Kitchen. Performed quite well.

The product is as advertised. Very easy to use and more powerful than I expected. Fast shipping and very smooth process from start to finish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little knife, July 13, 2010

I bought this knife for fileting panfish. I had seen it used on several web videos and purchased it along with 2 other electric knives. The others got hot and performed poorly. This one stayed cool and did just as well as the "Fishing Company" brand knife so I kept it and returned the others. Fileted 80 fish last week and went fine. Only issue was with warm meat. It would get between the blades and lost effectiveness. Simple fix, pull them out and wipe off, worked fine again. The fix for that was to chill the fish for a couple hours with ice first before cleaning. This specific knife was recommended by several sportsmen forums. Very happy. Shipper was on-time and bill to my credit card was correct.

4.0 out of 5 stars black and decker electric knife, January 12, 2008
The knife was in perfect condition and arrived in a timely manner. My only disappointment was that it was advertised as a 'Slim Line' handle but was not a slim line handle which makes it harder for a small person to hold and manipulate.

I bought it for using with Norpro Bread Slicer with Crumb Catcher and it works ok. It would be better if the blades were one/two inches longer but it still ok. better then doing with a no electric knife. It works very well for cutting meat.I really like this knife!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works just fine for craftwork, too, November 1, 2010

I was looking for an electric knife to assist me in making a Halloween costume, and this one did not disappoint. I was carving up relatively hard foam and leather with ease... can't see why it wouldn't handle meat just fine. As other reviews have said, it's loud, but the noise is consistent with this thing's power.
