Other thoughtful design details include a translucent water tank, a fabric guide, a Comfort Grip handle, a slip-resistant rubberized heel for stability when set in the upright position, a 360-degree pivoting cord for greater range of motion, and an Auto Clean system for keeping the steam vents free from buildup. For safety and peace of mind, the iron will shut off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity if left on its soleplate or tipped over on its side; if left vertically on its heel rest, it will shut off after eight minutes. Lightweight and stylish, the iron measures approximately 11-4/5 by 5 by 6-1/5 inches.

A great iron for a reasonable price. I chose it because Consumer Reports has it as a best buy; it doesn't disappoint. Basic and easy to use, it's much better than my last iron that cost more than double.

I had a Rowenta iron that I paid a lot of money for, but it was always leaky and stained my fabrics. Then it started overheating and scorching my fabrics, so I had to replace it.
I spent only $25 for this Black & Decker iron, and it works like a dream. It steams and sprays beautifully with no leaking. It heats up properly without scorching. And I love the ball joint that keeps the cord from tangling while I iron. I would definitely buy this iron again.

I bought this iron because of the great recommendation in Consumer Reports and because of the price. It's a wonderful iron! It's lightweight; the steam feature is excellent; and it does a fine job. The only tiny thing I can find fault with is the stiffness of the thumb dial which adjusts the temperature. I'd buy this iron again!
