This thing is very large and very loud, but I guess that's expected being as powerful as it is. It has no problems slicing things up and is very fast. Now for the cons. As someone else said in their review (of the white one)..." there's a crevice that's difficult to clean right between the rim of the lid and the rim where the chute meets the main section of lid". You have to dig it out when you are finished. It's an obvious design flaw. I also agree with another reviewer who said the little suction cups on the bottom make this thing a real pain to move. I really think rubber feet would have sufficed, the suction grip is a bit much. And did I say ... it is LOUD!?

mushes instead of chops,
By OH MOM (Akron, OH, US) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Black & Decker FP2500B PowerPro Wide-Mouth 10-Cup Food Processor, Black (Kitchen)
HUGE Dissapointment. Yes the motor is incredibly powerful. However, the chopping blade is serrated and by the time vegetables acheive a uniform chop they are shredded into mushy juice instead of cleanly sliced. The reversable disk blade is too far from the chute and food falls sideways and doesn't shred or slice uniformly - when it does go through the blade - mush again. where the chute extends through the lid it is a food trap and the trapped food mush juice backs up and leaks out of the lid. Using the wide mouth chute feature is a hassle. The small mouth chute must be placed over the food in the wide chute and engaged to make the safety interlock allow the blade to be turned on. The directions that come with it really don't explain how the wide mouth is supposed to work. Bottom line - you won't get nice sliced food like what's shown in the picture - they must have done that by hand with a knife and chopping board. If you still need to try it out for yourself, save the packaging and receipt so you can return it. Black and Decker clearly never tried this at home before marketing it. They need to go back to making power tools and stay out of the kitchen.

I only have one complaint about this machine. when the liquid reaches the lid it leaks out the side! not a well sealed lid at all. other than that it cuts and chops everything beautifully
