MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN UNABLE TO WALK FOR SEVERAL YEARS. HE IS OFTEN AWAKE AT NIGHT BUT WITHOUT ACCESS TO A LAMP FROM HIS BED. THIS NEW REMOTE ENABLES HIM TO TURN ON AND OFF THE LAMP ANY TIME HE WANTS. I HOPE SOON TO PURCHASE AN ADD-ON UNIT FOR THE TV SO THAT HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON AGAIN IN THE EVENT OF A POWER FAILURE(THE POWER BUTTON DOESN'T WORK ON THE TV REMOTE). WE WILL BE ABLE TO ADD TWO MORE ITEMS FOR CONTROL WITH THE SAME FREEWIRE REMOTE. WITH NO SPECIAL INSTALLATION OR WIRES TO RUN, BOTH THE BASE UNIT AND THE REMOTE WERE EASY TO SET UP. THEY HAVE BEEN A REAL BLESSING. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, WE CONSIDER THE PRICE TO HAVE BEEN A GREAT BARGAIN.

This unit works very well. The soft-touch buttons on the remote have a great feel and the groups (labelled "moods") give a real versatility to the controls. This device works with my existing X-10 modules with no problems.

Unfortunately, the base will not work with my existing X-10 remotes. I bought this to replace a broken X-10 base and am very disappointed to find the unit only works with Black and Decker Freewire remotes. Since none of the Black and Decker remotes allow for dimming of lamp modules, this creates a problem.

If you don't need dimming, then you'll love this unit. If you need dimming or already have other remotes, look elsewhere.

We use this to control an additional speaker for our TV which the mute button will not turn off. Works great! It would clearly be useful for many other additional tasks around the house.

I am enjoying using it from my car or within my house.

Well worth the cost.

Se trata de un producto que cubre muy bien mis expectativas. Ya no tengo que pararme mas a apagar la luz, ya que con este kit, puedo a distancia hacerlo. Al principio me parecio un poco complicado la configuracion del aparato, pero una vez hecho, lo demas fue facil. Seria bueno, que mantuvieran este tipo de productos mas en ofertas, para automatizar toda la casa.
