Please do not waste your money, you too will hate this griddle for the following reasons:

grease catch slides broke the first cleaning (cheap, brittle plastic)

Very uneven heating. Far left end of griddle way over-temp, far right end barely warm.

Temp control does not match griddle temp. Set the temp control over 225 and you will be making char-broiled pancakes.

Surface very rough. Non-stick coating is anything but non-stick. Coating was applied over improperly prepared surface.

Unfortunately, it was a gift from my kids so I'm stuck with it for awhile. "Dad! make us some pancakes on your new griddle", Uh... Ok, I'll try.

NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. THIS GRIDDLE WORKED FINE FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS THAN EVERYTHING STARTED TO STICK. 6 MONTHS LATER THE HEAT STARTED TO GO ON AND OFF. OH AND DONT TRY TO CALL BLACK AND DECKER ABOUT YOUR ISSUES THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THAT I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND THEY WILL ONLY SELL ME A NEW ONE FOR $52 THEY DONT CARE THAT IT HAS BROKE.

I bought this when it was on sale and got a great price on it. I had the smaller B&D griddle and it worked fine but I loved the idea of being able to make an entire breakfast in one shot so I bought the family size. I am so happy I didn't pay full price for this junk. It worked great the first couple of months then food started sticking, the right side of the griddle temperature was higher and cooked things quicker. I eventually got fed up with food sticking to the surface even after applying nonstick cooking spray, it ended up in my trash bin.

If you're looking for a griddle I would recommend this one, not worth the money. I gave it 1 star only becuase it did initially work..

i purchased this griddle in the middle of july, returned today (lesss than 2 months later) because the non-stick coating started coming off. also the griddle has hot spots and cool spots which give inconsistent cooking.

My daughter gave us this griddle for Christmas. Our old griddle was too small. The first pancake breakfast was a disaster. I thought maybe it needed to "break-in". It hasn't gotten any better. You can tell exactly where the heating element is. Anything on top of that area burns almost immediately while a inch away it doesn't cook. You get black and white pancakes. One side of griddle much hotter than the other. Food sticks to the "non-stick" surface. Needless to say we're back to our old griddle... looks like heck but makes great pancakes. Unfortunately we tossed all the packaging and have no receipt. This is a bad product.

We purchased Black and Decker griddle couple of months ago, and we have been using it ever since, about 4-5 times a week. For the first 2-3 weeks, the unit worked great. Then, we started having problems with the electrical connection cable. From time to time, the cable didn't heat the griddle. Lately, it started to only work when we held the electrical cable up higher than the griddle. Finally, it stopped working altogether. I ended up unplugging the unit when I noticed an electrical smell coming from the heater dial on the cable, in fear that something may have been shorted inside. Given our experience with the product, I can't recommend it.
