4.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I have about all of the FireStorm Tools and just added a couple of more while they were available. Although Black & Decker has discontinued the FireStorm name, I am sure that any of their 18v products will work. I have been totally satisfied with the FireStorm products that I have and use on a regular basis.

2.0 out of 5 stars BATTERY NOT INCLUDED
NO BATTERY: The only reason I purchased this was because I have 7 firestorm 18v tools and 6 batteries and 3 charging stations. With that said, I really was not going to get the "firestorm" impact drill because the line has been discontinued. Short answer: No way I would have paid $80.00 for this knowing it was for the "DRILL ONLY" How come the other manufactures'...

Look if it can break wheel lugs loose, no complaints for me. If you have multiple 18 volt batteries from this line it is not a terrible purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Impact Driver speeds up jobs, May 22, 2011

Pros: Solid construction and compact design allow for faster work and less physical effort in many applications.

Cons: The biggest con is that all the extra torque and RPMs really eat through the battery charges.

Final thoughts: If you already have Firestorm batteries then this is worth every penny. This has been discontinued by Black & Decker since they're moving towards drills only so as not to compete with their DeWalt products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to do and leaves some money in pocket, April 2, 2011

I'm not sure if this impact driver is as strong as Dewalt, Makita, or Ryobi drivers, but it does the job just fine. Also since I have the battery operated weed wacker and drill, I did not have to buy any batteries which saves some serious coin. I am not a professional, so I do not have to use this on a daily basis. Since that's the case, I am more than happy buying B&D products.

Ok, so as the description states, this is the impact driver only. There are no batteries or a charger in the box, just be sure what you are ordering. I have a bunch of Black & Decker 18v batteries that are still in good working order, after looking at newer impact drivers I decided to buy this cheaper model as I already have a bunch of batteries for it. I've been using this for around the house fixes and it has been working really well for me. I plan on refinishing my basement and have already used this to put up some of the framing and it hasn't missed a beat yet, sure beats the traditional 18v drill for driving screws!
