I received this steamer as a gift from my sister. I love it! I especially love that you can add your own herbs/spices in the spice basket. I have cooked all sorts of vegetables with it, with great results. However, I think the most surprising use (for me) was hardboiling eggs. I did not have one egg crack, and the shell just peeled off so easily when they were cool. I will never boil eggs again!

I received this steamer as a gift from my daughter after she realized I loved using hers when I came to visit. I have used this steamer at least five times a week for probably four years. As I was cleaning up tonight I thought I should let others know that it is very reliable, has had no mechanical problems, is easy to clean and by steaming the veggies are cooked in a very healthy, low fat way. It is a terrific way to cook broccoli, asparagus and fresh corn, along with any other fresh vegetable you can imagine. I have also found it great to steam frozen chicken breasts and the broth can be saved for soups. It is probably one of the most used appliances in our kitchen.

I like this steamer a lot. But it doesn't do what I thought it would do, I thought I would be able to steam rice and veggies at the same time. If you can, I haven't figured it out yet. Anyhow, I still like the way it steams veggies, so I am thoughly using it for that. I have a seperate machine for rice.
