I looked at several other makes at more than twice the price before I bought this unit. I'm very happy I went with this one. The chucking system works very well too.
I have no complaints with this fine product from Black & Decker. Shipping was very fast too.
One really great feature on this drill is the ability to increase or decrease the amount of torque. What I built was made out of cedar, which can split really easy especially the thin planks around the railings.
I'll be picking one up.
I really like having the two batteries included although I doubt I willl be doing enough drilled at one sitting to run out of battery power.
Again in my life I asked myself; "Why didn't I do this sooner?"
This new drill has not nearly the power and worst of all the battery hardly lasts. I used to be able to go through a couple of full weekends of projects but this one only last for drilling a few holes and I need to swap the battery.
Would not recommend this for anyone.

The worst purchase I ever made on Amazon. Batteries go dead in minutes, in my case, after fastening just a few screws. Really awfulPublished 8 months ago by Warren Fiori, Jr

This was to replace an old drill that used this older style 18V battery. If you've got other tools that use this battery (which is getting harder to find), this dual battery kit... Read morePublished 13 months ago by M. Brown
My last 18-volt drill lasted nearly 5 years, and what finally failed were the batteries. I purchased this as a replacement as it includes 2 batteries. Read morePublished 13 months ago by Donald Clancy
This was really good at first. Then after a few months the batteries (both of them) started only holding about an hour's worth of charge.Published 15 months ago by Amazon Customer
