Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

It is easy to use and clean.
The mouth of the opening is a little on the small side meaning that I have to cut the vegetable and fruits up small but other that that, it does what it should.

If you want to start juicing and absolutely cannot afford to spend more money on a unit then this one will get the job done until you can afford a better one.

The first thing you should keep in mind is that it is one of the lowest price juice extractors out there. It's true that it has a small feed chute and that does mean that you have to cut up your veggies and take your time. The negative criticisms about this machine not being good for "continuous feed" and making too much pulp are most likely the result of trying to jam too much into it at one time. It even says in the owner's manual that if you are making carrot juice, put in only one piece at a time and go slowly. I cut my pieces so that the weight of the plunger is usually enough to push them through and I get great results. You just have to take your time and realize that this is a low-cost machine made for fairly light use, and you will enjoy it. Also keep in mind that if you clean it immediately, everything pretty much rinses off except the basket, which usually requires some help from a sponge. If you are in a hurry or plan to be a heavy user, spend more money and get a heavy-duty machine, but I find it to be fine for my occasional home use.

I wanted a new juicer, tried two Juiceman models and juice yield wasn't impressive and pulp a little too damp. I saw this one at Walmart and I thought "no way could a $30 juicer be great." I was wrong. It's more compact and I'm all for pulp-extraction but not if it's from an oversized container sitting on the back of it. If you're just making juice for one to a few people at once, you don't need it. This one has the right sized container and just rests within the body of the machine. It gets better: Because the feed chute ends very close to the cutting blade (a problem many juicer models need to correct) it doesn't waste chunks of produce. The pulp is drier than about 7 other juices I've owned or tried. I've been using it 1x/day for 2 months now. I still cannot believe this cheap juicer outperforms so many others. The only con is the feed chute is small so I'm cutting thicker parts of carrots in half, apples smaller, etc. No complaint as I'm usually just juicing for myself. Small sacrifice for a compact, quieter juicer. Other tip: clean the screen cold water gentle via a soft or baby toothbrush then store the brush inside the clean pulp extracttion cup if you want. Enjoy!

Love! Love! Love this juicer! I just did a week straight of just juicing. I was making about 4-6 juices a day and this machine worked like a champ. I juiced all kinds of things from carrots to apples, kale to sweet potato. Now yes the pulp contains a little more juice than I would like but I just let it sit in a strainer when I was done so get the rest of the liquid. I did over load the chute on kale once which made it shut off but I really packed it in and as soon as I took some out, it went back to juicing like a dream. Seriously worth the money if you are not sure how much/how long you will be juicing. I'm about to do a 15 day fast and will update at the end to let you know how the juicer held up. I do however wish the juice cup was bigger. I don't really use the one that came with it.

Ps: Small tip: When juicing a leafy green like kale or spinach roll them up like a cigar. It helps get the most juice out of the leaves. Happy juicing!

Update: Little guy is still juicing a year later. Would diffidently recommend for the cheap health nut. (3 years later and I just bought a new juicer, although this one still works just fine)

A long time Yelper (feel free to follow me at silverspark.yelp.com), I figured it was time to start Amazon Reviewing. After recently watching "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead," I was motivated to add juicing to my attempts at leading a healthy life. I almost had a heart attack when I found out that the juicer used in the documentary is over $300! Since I tend to flip flop between healthy life style strategies, I didn't want to invest a lot of money in a juicer. For $29.88 + Free Shipping with Amazon Prime and such rave reviews, I knew this was the starter juicer of my dreams.

This baby didn't disappoint. So far, I have made drinks with cucumber, carrots, apples, and celery. This juicer seems to do its job just fine.

-Easy to assemble
-Easy to wash (I STRONGLY recommend cleaning right after juicing, I just rinse most of the big pieces out and hit the blade portion with a dish cleaning brush and its done in 3 minutes tops!)
-Makes plenty of juice (I have not found that there is a lot of juice left in the pulp. I tried running the pulp again, just to see and I only got maybe 2 teaspoons extra.
-Compact size makes it perfect for small apartments like mine.
-If you don't want to bother with the provided cup the juice goes into, all the cups I own fit under the spout (this includes relatively large IKEA water glasses.

-Make sure you wash all the parts before making your first cup of juice, then run some water though it. Water might go everywhere when you attempt this, but it is worth it since There was quite a bit of dirt in my appliance. There is no instruction to do this, and you will be unhappy if your first cup of juice is poisoned...
