The first thing you should keep in mind is that it is one of the lowest price juice extractors out there. It's true that it has a small feed chute and that does mean that you have to cut up your veggies and take your time. The negative criticisms about this machine not being good for "continuous feed" and making too much pulp are most likely the result of trying to jam too much into it at one time. It even says in the owner's manual that if you are making carrot juice, put in only one piece at a time and go slowly. I cut my pieces so that the weight of the plunger is usually enough to push them through and I get great results. You just have to take your time and realize that this is a low-cost machine made for fairly light use, and you will enjoy it. Also keep in mind that if you clean it immediately, everything pretty much rinses off except the basket, which usually requires some help from a sponge. If you are in a hurry or plan to be a heavy user, spend more money and get a heavy-duty machine, but I find it to be fine for my occasional home use.

I wanted a new juicer, tried two Juiceman models and juice yield wasn't impressive and pulp a little too damp. I saw this one at Walmart and I thought "no way could a $30 juicer be great." I was wrong. It's more compact and I'm all for pulp-extraction but not if it's from an oversized container sitting on the back of it. If you're just making juice for one to a few people at once, you don't need it. This one has the right sized container and just rests within the body of the machine. It gets better: Because the feed chute ends very close to the cutting blade (a problem many juicer models need to correct) it doesn't waste chunks of produce. The pulp is drier than about 7 other juices I've owned or tried. I've been using it 1x/day for 2 months now. I still cannot believe this cheap juicer outperforms so many others. The only con is the feed chute is small so I'm cutting thicker parts of carrots in half, apples smaller, etc. No complaint as I'm usually just juicing for myself. Small sacrifice for a compact, quieter juicer. Other tip: clean the screen cold water gentle via a soft or baby toothbrush then store the brush inside the clean pulp extracttion cup if you want. Enjoy!

I like the juicer a lot. The mouth of the opening is a little on the small side meaning that I have to cut the vegetable and fruits up small but other that that, it does what it should. It was easy for me to assemble and take apart. The cleaning is not an all day process. One word of advice is to buy a cleaning brush for the blade if you do not have a dishwasher.

I bought this juicer from Wal Mart for about the same price as Amazon and $10 less than ebay (a tip if you still want one after reading this review)and it's a real piece of junk. I wanted to get a more expensive one but my husband reminded me we were on a budget yetfrom just a singe comparative glance I knew it was not going to last. Everyday I juice 5 carrots, 1/4 of a beet root, 1 stick of celery, and an apple for breakfast to make one pint of juice. Not much considering my parents juice a quart of carrot juice for everyone still in their house (4) every night and their juicer has been going strong since forever. After my 4th morning with this juicer it started producing that burning out motor smell that cheap appliances produce after being overworked only I had just started. The 5th morning the blade started up fast but started getting slower with each piece of veggie I added so I had to keep stopping and cleaning it out then restarting. The juice comes out in a slow trickle, the pulp is so wet you can literally squeeze juice out of it, and it chucks large pieces of whatever you are juicing in with the pulp. Also it skids across the countertop from lack of rubber-stoppers. All in all I have decided if you are the least bit serious about juicing then this juicer is not the one for you. It's worth the extra money to own a good juicer, after all you get what you pay for.

I generally don't write reviews, and I had no intention of writing one for this product, but after I got it I changed my mind.

This is the perfect juicer for singles out there. It's quiet; I live in an RV and I don't feel bad about using it early in the morning or late at night because I know my neighbors can't hear it. It's fast; I can't put the vegetables in it fast enough to keep up. And lastly, it does a good job. I've used much more expensive juicers that don't produce nearly as much juice per item as this one does.
If you're single or the only one in your household that juices, this is perfect. However, if you need to juice for more than one person, it would probably be better to get a larger model.

Sure you can go out and spend hundreds for a juicer, but no need to. This little Black n Decker unit does the job perfectly for me. At $29 with NO TAX, and FREE SHIPPING ???? No better deals out there, believe me. True the unit is a little smaller than others, but when you make juice for 1 or 2 people, who needs an overly expensive monster? One thing to note, where I had seen some people complain about how difficult the unit was to clean up after juicing, especially the very sharp bladed screen. Well, the real key to a quick easy cleanup is really to NOT wait hours to clean it,but rather to take it apart immediately when you are done juicing, run the parts under warm soapy water and use an inexpensive scrubbing brush to gently get out all the fruit ,vegetable particles. If this is done as soon as you are done juicing, the whole cleanup job is about 5 minutes,because everything rinses off with no effort at all.On the other hand, waiting till all the particles dry to the units parts will make the cleanup job way too much work. Soooo >>> Buy this unit, drink to your health, and enjoy all this machines benefits, at a VERY reasonable cost !

Considering that many commercial juicers are both massive and expensive this is really a great product for the money. If you're looking for a low-cost juicer this is it - if you have an unlimited budget and want a juicer why are you even looking at this one? Just like an ink-jet printer the main cost for this item will actually be the fruit/vegetables you buy - so if you're buying expensive fruit, or if you're constantly juicing, you may want to look elsewhere.

That said I have enjoyed the product thus far and actually found it easy to clean up as most of it comes apart. Having tried other juicers in the past I was anti-juicer because so many are difficult to clean. It seemed to make an appropriate amount of juice considering what it was fed and the remaining pulp has an interesting consistency which would seem to lend itself to further use.

Being the lowest price juicer on the market I was a little skeptical at first, but never having juiced before I wanted an entry level machine that didn't cost too much. I was not disappointed, this machine has performed well with the only draw back being it's feed shoot being too small. But that aside, it's an excellent juicer for anyone new to juicing looking for an entry level machine. My wife and I just recently watched the documentary "Fat, Sick and Near Dead", it was our inspiration into juicing and we recommend watching this movie (if you haven't already) as a motivational story into the benefits of juicing and how it can transform your life. This machine would be a "5-Star" rating were it not for the small feed shoot.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this juicer and I am extremely satisfied! I am a personal chef and also a juice lover. I really didn't want to start out with a big, expensive juicer and was looking for a starter one. For the price it is perfect, and the negative reviews on here are laughable. Yes, you have to cut up the fruits and veggies, oh the horror! Yes, it kind of sounds like a leaf blower. Yes, you can't juice a truckload at a time without dumping out the pulp cup and rinsing the excess that can clog the lid around the blade, boooo. The pulp is dry, it juices perfectly, it's only 30 dollars, it's super simple to disassemble and clean, that's 5 stars in my eyes. I might move on to a bigger, pricey one someday but not until this little engine-that-could breaks.

I love my juicer, our kids are using it as well, easy cleanup... I have no problem putting it together or taking it apart. Let us talk about the juice that comes out mercy, yes the word is mercy, this little juicer has no mercy on the fruit or veggies put inside of it. Yes the mouth is on the small side, however, cutting the items smaller is no problem for me, and, our kids love to help. This little guy is five stars in my book... We are juicin daily and lovin it! The Black & Decker 400-Watt Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor with Custom Juice Cup is a great little juicer, and, can stand beside any brand; I have seen allot of juicers; turn off by many, however this juicer makes you want to juice. You want a great juicer try it...
