Our 3 year old Grandson loves these tools.

My nephew just loves his box and his tools, he is always "fixing" things and "building" things.

It is a great tool set to play with and looks very similar to the real tools.

I purchased these tools for my 18-month old son who kept stealing my tools when I worked around the house. They are well made hard plastic tools that have taken the abuse that a toddler can dish out. The true test of any toy is that he keeps playing with them and loves to use them when I take out my tools.

These are great, and much better than most toy tools that just sit there and vaguely look like what they're supposed to be. All of them work just like the real thing, which is awesome. They're pretty durable and should last a long time. Most importantly, they don't look like baby toys so those kids who like their pretend stuff to be as real as possible will love them. I know because I was one of those kids once!

I only have two main complaints:

-The channel lock pliers lasted one squeeze before the "screw" holding them together broke. I don't know how they could have been designed differently, since pliers need to be squeezed in order to operate them. But maybe they could have used a metal fastener instead. I'd pay an extra buck for that. I suspect that the regular pliers will end up the same way, but so far so good. Anyway, that's what daddy's real tools are for: fixing broken toys.

-The "nails" aren't really as usable as the bolts. They don't go very far into the included plastic boards and can be hard for kids to get back out. I would have rather they included the same size nail but in solid plastic that the kids can hammer into cardboard or foam.

The backpack is decent for carrying them around, but it's definitely more for showcasing what you get before you buy rather than practicality. A deeper rectangular box or bag would've been a lot handier. But that's a small nitpick, since they'll need their own toolbox at some point anyway if they're the kind of kid who will use this every day.

Overall this is a great set and is a good way to prepare a kid for real tools of some kind and to judge where they're at with their skills and dexterity.

you get a lot of toys for the money, good for kids but has smaller parts (screws) that younger kids could choke on.

We bought this for our grandson who was 18 months at the time and wanted to use his grandpa's tools. He loves these tools. It's the first thing he picks out of his toy box when he visits.

This is a nice set of very realistic toy tools. Our three-year-old Grandson was pleased to be able to work safely alongside Dad and Grandpa with his own tool set. The pliars did break right away but were able to be repaired with a real nut and bolt, and the handyman was back in business in no time. I would purchase this set again.

My 2 year old daughter loves to "fix" things. Got her this tool set for Christmas and she hasn't gotten in my toolbox since! I did buy her her own little toolbox to store her new tools in...the backpack is kinda flimsy and the zipper is messed up, but other than that, great choice :)

My 18 month old son LOVES these!! We were given the B&D tool bench with a couple tools so I was able to buy all the remaining tools that were originally with the bench. He is always walking around with a wrench or a hammer. Love the product and loved the fact I could use Prime with it!!
