As always junk from China is not worth two cents. Black and Decker sounds like a good product but the company has gone to China to cut costs and this mixer is a good example of what you get when that happens. The mixer motor runs a worm that engages two worm gears made out of nylon gears. The nylon gears are designed to wear out just about the time that the warranty is up. Even if the warranty is still in place you must provide receipt. The nylon gears are the weak link. If you want to buy a mixer that makes plenty of noise and doesn't turn the beaters this is the product for you! Do yourself a favor and buy USA made like Kitchenaid.
