I didn't think anybody made a decent toaster anymore but this one is great. It browns evenly on BOTH sides of the bread and there is even a cancel button if you want to check the degree of brownness. There is an extra wide slot for bagels and pastry. The instruction manual gives advice on even toasting frozen bagels and pastries. The body is good quality chrome for easy cleaning. This is my second Black and Decker appliance and I love them both. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this toaster based on the brand name and the combination of features and looks. So far (its been 6 months) I could not be more pleased. The slots are nice and wide to accommodate bagels and I really like the "frozen food" button that allows you to tell the toaster if the item is frozen or thawed. I have found that this unit is fast and toasts food evenly.

As for the design, I love this classic look because it reminds me of the metal toasters I grew up with. For once there is a "retro" product that seems like it will pass the test of time! Highly recommended!

If you want the retro look and a super toaster.....this is the one for you. Toasts perfectly and looks great! I've had it about 4 months with no problems whatsoever.

Do not use the frozen button always burns, the outside and the center is still frozen. For us this toaster works because we are not into lightly toasted. On the lightest settings it toasts a medium dark. This toaster would not work for us if we liked things barely toasted.

I love my new toaster! Aesthetically it is beautiful and the performance is great. I like the "cancel" button option. My only disappointment is that there is not a designated side for toasting one slice. A minor point. I would absolutely recommend this Black and Decker toaster.

I purchased this toaster because it looked really nice and I like the dials in the front. I already had a Black & Decker toaster and really liked it, so it was a no-brainer. This toaster didn't toast evenly on both sides, so I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. The replacement didn't toast any better. Returned it and purchased the Cuisinart CPT-160 Metal Classic 2-Slice Toaster which works perfectly.

I bought this toaster because of the brand name and I just wanted a reliable product which would last. This toaster is the best I have ever seen. It is very easy and fast to use. And the best part I love about it is how easy it is to clean.

i really like that it is wide enough for texas toast or bagels and it heats up fast, I can toast mutiple slices back to back in a short period of time.

If this was just a contest on looks, this toaster would win hands down. It looks great, is just the right size and makes any kitchen look spiffy. It toasts pretty well, even with bagels, although it can run a little hot some days and not so hot others. Opt for keeping it on the light side, just in case.

I use the toaster on weekends only & I really like it. However, I get the impression that with daily use it would merit 2/3 stars, bc sometimes it toasts unevenly.
