Tide Buzz Ultrasonic - WOW,
By
This review is from: Black & Decker Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
I purchased Tide Buzz more out of curiosity than knowing how well it removes stains. I had my first use for it tonight and felt compelled to share how well it worked for me right away. Our cat came in with a small cut on her rear paw which I hadn't noticed until most of the house showed signs of her injury. I had also just gotten home from work and had my light colored business casual clothes on. Needless to say once I made the connection between red dots and cat injury I immediately administered first aid and survived the struggle with a number of stains on my work clothes. That's where Tide Buzz came in handy. Just a small squirt of the cleaning fluid here and there, a few seconds of ultrasonic treatment and the stains disappeared completely. Admittedly Shout probably would have gotten the stain out just as well. What got me was how well it handled dried in food stains that Shout couldn't completely remove. You see, while I was cleaning my shirt I noticed several very faint, well established food stains that had survived several cleanings - Tide Buzz removed those, too, after about 30 seconds of ultrasonic treatment and several light squirts of the cleaning fluid. From experience I feel that the ultrasonic feature combined with the fluid is why the food stains came out at all. Now I'm completely sold and highly recommend this product. I have the unit hanging above my washing machine on the wall. The ultrasonic wand has several feet of cord and winds up nicely.
I wonder if there is a battery powered verson? Knowing how well Tide Buzz worked on my clothes I sure would have liked to have walked around the house cleaning up after my cat's injury with a portable ultrasonic cleaner.

Works great but easy to break!,

I've just purchased my 4th Tide Buzz. Why? Because they DO remove stains I've been unable to remove with ANY other means, some of which have been washed multiple times. And, because the design is a bit too fragile. if you leave the fluid mounted on the machine, it dries up and plugs the tubbing in the machine, rendering it inoperable. Forcing water though it works briefly, but if too forceful results in the tubing being blown off the (wimpy) pump, and requiring disassembly (though not recommended by B&D). The ultrasound is nearly bullet proof, but requires fluid in the pump to complete the circuit and turn on the power to it, a built in safety feature. I'm not sure what is in the cleaning fluid (it feels slippery like a detergent) but it really does work with the ultrasound probe part & parcel -- neither works without the other. B&D, how about it -- can you perfect this product?

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Black & Decker Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
My wife had laundered my favorite jersey several times, trying to remove a salad dressing stain. It still showed up as a darkish spot, clearly visible. I got the Tide Buzz machine, set it up in about three minutes, and proceeded to follow the directions. You simply press a button on the "ultrasonic wand/solution dispenser" to apply the liquid, and press and hold the "buzz" button and rub in over the stain area. I did this for about a minute for a random-shaped spot, about the size of a quarter. It looked like it was working. I washed the shirt again, cold water only. It came out clean, finally. This was on a stain that my wife said had become "set."
There was a bit more wear on the jersey where I had apparently pressed too vigorously with the wand (it's ultrasonic; pressure not really needed), but the color was returned. You can buy these through Amazon for about $10!

Are they still selling this?,

I bought one of these for about twice the price years ago and it worked about 3-star range but then totally stopped working. I couldn't find anywhere online to seek redress at that time so I dumped it. Pay attention to the review that mentions problems -- maybe that was my situation, I don't know. I'm not taking another chance on this. It did help remove some stains, but no more than other products.

Refillable?,

I am wondering if the little tide containers are refillable? We do not use tide and don't want to start, but I would love a product like this.
Portable would be awesome also. Why be tied down to a power cord? Rechargeable batteries are awesome!

Amazing claim does not work!,
This review is from: Black & Decker Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
I read the manufacturers claims and purchased this product on-line. I thought I could clean the white edges of my natural cotton bedspread that touch the carpet in my bedroom and turned a little dark over time. I followed the instructions precisely and this product DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to remove any of the stain/discoloration. I am very disappointed and feel totally ripped off.

WORST PRODUCT EVER MADE,

This review is from: Black & Decker Tide Buzz Ultrasonic Stain Remover (Kitchen)
this could have been a decent product, even revolutionary, but as marketed, it is an utter failure. Something breaks immediately and the unit is useless. replacements do not matter because they fail immediately also. After the 3rd replacement, we just threw it away.
