This is a great compact keylock biner. Replaces the best selling Quicksilver Screwgate at the same price point. Positron has a keylock nose for smooth clipping and unclipping. This is a compact locker though, not really for belaying. For a large locking biner get the Rocklock.

Unlike other high-strength locking carabiners for climbing, this one is a decent size (i.e. not huge). In other words, you can use it for every day tasks - from clipping your keychains to your pants to keeping things held on to your backpack. It's obviously strong and sleek looking to boot, not to mention possibly indispensable as an emergency tool. Some rope with a strong clip is always a good thing to keep in a bag or in a car.

The carabiner is about 3.8 inches long and 2.4 inches wide at its widest point.

First off, this carabiner is huge and made for climbing. It is very light-weight, but ruggedly constructed. I use mine to carry keys, multitools and other objects. I have no doubt that this will hold up for years and keep your equipment secure.

I purchased this screwgate to sandwich between two straightgate carabiners at the rope-end masterpoint on top-rope anchors. To that end, the Positron screwgate and the Positron straightgate are identical in size and shape, so they make a perfect match for a rope-end masterpoint! What's more, this carabiner is relatively compact, so for a top-rope anchor involving a few slings and maybe a cordellete, you won't be carrying more up to the top than you need to!

TIP: Buy in conjunction withBlack Diamond Positron Carabiner if you want to pair a screwgate and straightgate that are identical in size and shape!

I got this to use with my tandem speed pulley on my zip-line. It holds really solid, is made in the USA, and makes it SUPER fast easy to take in my speed pulley at the end of the day.

I purchased the carabiner and found it to be very well made. The finish is excellent and surfaces are polished very nicely. The workings are very smooth and easy to manipulate. Excellent piece of equipment! I have found many, many uses for it other than climbing! A very good value!

I bought these for clipping in to anchors at the top of my climbs, putting them on the end of some nylon slings. They have been excellent. I have used them quite a bit for this already when replacing hardwear at local crags. The keylock has been fantastic when I'm holding myself up to unclip them from hardwear when I'm ready to come down. The screwgate is nice and smooth, and this biner is very tough so far.

Also, these are definitely not large carabiners. They're actually pretty compact. They might be large for something like a key ring... but for climbing these are not very big, I actually think the size is awesome for what I've been using them for.

Overall this is a very nice, versatile, and incredibly affordable locking biner. I'll be purchasing more of them in the future for sure.

This carabiner is a GREAT value. I bought two of these carabiners for climbing use. They are decent sized and great for a wide range of uses. Though they are a bit small for belaying or rappelling (it is possible if needed). Very strong (25 kn) and light (I can barely notice it hanging from a belt loop or in my pocket, much less my harness). Great buy, I will buy more of these when I become more invested in climbing.

I was very surprised at the quality and how nice this biner was i love it. Defiantly recommend this product.

The order arived when they said it would and is just what i needed formy climbing harness. I will be looking for more items from them.
