I got these this spring and and used them several times...once through rough canyons, and another time fording streams dozens of times. They have worked extremely well and I cannot find any fault with them. The flick locks work flawlessly, the handles are comfortable, and they have supported my 6' 3", 220 pound bulk well.

I've had several pairs of trekking poles throughout the years, everything from the Wallyworld cheapos to Leki & Black Diamonds. These are by far the best pair I have owned. I will say trekking poles seem to be really subjective, but that said, for me these are perfect. Great motion, just the right bend in the handles. I love the extra area for ascending underneath the primary grip. I'm NOT a small guy and the looks have held up very well, never slipped even with me really bearing down on them on a treacherous descent. Highly recommended.

I have had a pair of these for a couple of years now, and absolutely love them. I use them for day hikes and backpacking trails and mountains, as well as for exercise walks. They give me a much better balanced whole-body and cardiac workout, and, at the same time, spare my aging knees. The ergo cork grips are very comfortable, and, because they are angled for natural pole placement, make learning to use them a breeze. Being made of lightweight aluminum, the poles do transmit a little vibration, especially until you learn to plant the pole in a smooth motion. The interchangeable carbide tips give a very secure grip on most surfaces. For ledge or tarmac I use the Black Diamond Trekking Pole Tip Protectors. They are easy to put on and take off, yet secure on any surface that won't suck them off. The adjustment clamps are easy to use, and, after proper (one time) adjustment with a screwdriver, suffer from a minimum of slippage supporting my 240 lb frame. The poles are quick and easy to shorten, and can be stored in or on the backpack for more technical sections. I just bought a pair, through Amazon, for my wife, (also suffering from degenerative arthritis of the knee,) and went out with her for a little shakedown. Within fifteen minutes she got the hang of using them, and couldn't believe the relief she felt in her knee. She wanted to stay out there.

These things are pretty amazing, the weight is fantastic and the cork grips provide unparalleled grip in just about any conditions. I say "Almost perfect" because they do feel a bit wobbly when sustaining weight. Well, my weight at least. It isn't entirely the poles fault, if I were a but more average sized (I'm 6'4" and 260 pounds) they would probably hold me up without bending in the least, but putting to much pressure on them does make me a little nervous so I try not to lean on them too much unless necessary, which unfortunately, necessity is why I bought them in the first place (I hike mostly in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in western Mass where the trails constantly run up and down very steep and rocky terrain.) All and all I would recommend them though seeing as most people looking at them probably aren't as big as me! Totally worth the money, similar poles retail for about 120 in the local shops.

Though I have no grounds for comparison, I love these trekking poles. I never have used them and sort of gawked at hikers with them before. But they are so incredibly helpful on the trail, especially backpacking. A few weeks ago I was on a very rocky trail and would probably have fallen 3-4 times with my 40lb bag without these poles, and they saved me from stumbling countless times. They say they can take up to 20% stress of your legs, but I think you end up saving more energy by avoiding those energy consuming stumbles.

As a fisherman, I really like cork handles and these poles are no different.

When I first got them the right pole slipped a bit, contracting a few inches. I got out my knife, tightened the screw on the clamp, 20+ miles later not one slip.

The tips are super sharp and even stick into rocks on the trail.

Love these poles. They've gone with my better half and me up and down a volcano, through the cinders, trekking in high deserts and low deserts, and through the Rocky Mountains. The cork grips were very comfortable and I didn't have black hands like other hikers. Never got a blister, and truly was grateful for the stability and extra boost they provided. The quick release adjustments work great, and cleaning the poles after a day hike was easy. They telescope for easy transporting and extend with little effort. Best money I've spent in a while!

These have pretty much saved my back, I think. I hike weekly, and these poles are easy to adjust, easy to hold, and seem perfectly proportioned. My only wish is that they came with tough rubber caps for use on sidewalks or paved roads.

Perfect for everything from hiking to snowshoeing. Cork grips are so comfortable for me with a permanently damaged hand from an injury..
