After years of borrowing my friends ascenders, I've finally purchased my own. I chose the nForce Ascender because I love the the large carabiner clip in points and trigger mechanism.

Works great, nice large grip accommodates gloved hands. A bit on the heavy side. Be sure to put a biner through the front when descending a fixed line, otherwise it's fairly easy to come off the line if you're not paying attention.

It grips well and feels good in your hand. It can be tough to release using just the trigger release while operating one handed, the motion is not natural for my index finger. I can open it best one-handed if I pull the trigger to the first safety stop in the middle, then use my thumb to finish the release. Otherwise, it's a great ascender.
