Format: Kindle Edition
This is a splendid action thriller, filled with battles, about a highly unusual and specially trained fighting force with extraordinary weapons, clothing that makes them invisible like a chameleon and which is more protective than Kevlar, and airplanes that can speed through the air and stop suddenly, planes with unusual weapons and with the chameleon camouflage ability. This is the second adventure of this Black Eagle Force. In a sense, it continues the story told in the first book, but it has a totally different plot, and readers who did not read the first volume will have no difficulty following the narrative. While readers who delight in reading about weapons will find much to enjoy in the descriptions that the authors offer, those who are uninterested in such matters will still enjoy the plot, action, surprises, and suspense in this well-told tale.

The story begins with the kidnapping of the first female president of the United States, a woman of American Indian descent. Readers will be astonished to find out who engineered the kidnapping. The White House staff is convinced that someone at the highest level must have revealed secret information about the whereabouts of the president and other very sensitive data that made the kidnapping possible. They have no idea why she was kidnapped. Is it for ransom for money, to force the US to do something it would not like to do, or some other reason? The Secretary of Defense knows about the abilities of the Black Eagle Force and assigns them to rescue the president. The BEF must enter Mexican territory and fight well-trained forces. Readers will enjoy reading about the actions and about the extraordinary and courageous men and women.

Format: Paperback
The Black Eagle Force becomes embroiled in another exciting adventure written by authors Buck Steinke and Ken Farmer in Sacred Mountain. This time it is really personal. Annette Henry Thompson, the first woman to be president of the United States is kidnapped by a former enemy. She is the former love of Gunter Hermann and therefore very important to the BEF team.

""Won't hurt to ask," he replied, typing in the short query into the FMS. "What's up?"
A few seconds passed before a short message came back across the MMILSATCOM link.
LILAC IS MISSING."

With this unexpected revelation, the BEF is called into action by Secretary of Defense Baker to go deep into the Sierra Madre Mountains to find and rescue her. What follows is the masterful way in which they execute the mission. You will feel like you are sitting in any one of the aircraft described by this masterful writing team. There are some other surprises about people you know from the news. You need to read this book to continue following the BEF adventures.
Buck Stienke is a retired captain and fighter pilot for the United States Air Force and a graduate from the Air Force Academy. He was a pilot for Delta Airlines for over 25 years and also executive producer of the award winning film Rockabilly Baby.
Ken Farmer served in the Marine Corps and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. Ken has been a professional actor, writer and director with memorable roles in Silverado, Friday Night Lights and Uncommon Valor. He continues to write and direct award-winning films, including Rockabilly Baby.

I am not really an avid military fiction person, more a sci-fi type, but I could not put this book (or the first one before it) down. Ah, the danger of downloading a sample! You just gotta find out what happens next!

This is a great series, lots of action, a little more details on the technology than I prefer (but easy to skip over), and great interactions and conversations. The relationships and people are very well done, very believable.

And the story -- wow, a great story that would not quit!

If you love action, military stuff and great stories, you will love this!!!

The sequel to Black Eagle Force: Eye of the Storm, Sacred Mountain outshines the original, with established characters, a story that could ripped from today's headlines and gadgets galore! (I want some of those toys!) A fast paced action packed page turner. Ken Farmer and Buck Stienke are two of the best military action, techno writers of today!

It has a good story line and was action packed. When I finished the first book and discovered there were more I knew I had to have them.

Both authors are experienced military pilots and their foray for years into acting has permeated the telling of their stories as they have the gift of putting you "into the action" and keeping the momentum high. You do not want to miss this book or any written by one or both of this wonderful authors.

I've now read all of the Black Eagle Force books and look forward to more in the future. I love the very advanced technology and the belivable way it is presented. I highly recommend this and Farmer's other books.
