4.0 out of 5 stars Works well for my left eye
In spite of its being labeled for use on either eye, this particular patch only fits snugly on my left eye. I'm using it to retrain my eye after a stroke left me with some minor double-vision. If you can't see through the eye then it's probably not an issue, but I find the light coming through the gap which it leaves to be somewhat distracting.

The best feature...

3.0 out of 5 stars Does not fully cover the right eye
I was disappointed in this eye patch as it does not fully cover the right eye. You can still see slightly out the corner. So now I have to buy another eye patch.

The best feature of this patch is that it allows the covered eye to blink without interference. The last patch I had was close enough to the eye that my eyelash brushed it when I blinked, which was annoying. There's probably no way to make a perfect patch to fit everyone's face and preferences, but this one is the best I've had and only cost a few bucks at Rite Aid.

Awesome for anyone who needs a patch without the annoying problems of a flat patch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent eye patch; best of the three brands I tried, May 28, 2010

When I needed an eye patch, Amazon offered me a trio of different brands to try as a special offer, so I did. This, by far, was the best patch. First, the shape is more triangular so it sits well in the eye socket. The elastic strap is sturdy. There is a thin vinyl stripping stitched tightly around the perimeter of the eye patch. It also looks good; it's not a big round patch that rides up onto your forehead, and it does not look like some Halloween pirate eye patch. This is the patch you want because you won't need to keep replacing it every week.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect, January 21, 2010

This item is good for the price, the only complaint that I have is a bit of light shines through the corner of the patch. No matter how I put it on, a little light manages to shine through.

I'm using this for a completely different purpose than most people, but I've using this for one of my Steampunk costumes. I can see the little light coming in a corner of it that everyone had been talking about, but it does cover my whole eye and the indent gives you room to blink. I like it a lot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Black Elastic Eye Patch, August 31, 2011

This black elastic eye patch is lined on the inside with black paper. The paper is what holds the shape. It worked well for about an hour, until perspiration soaked the paper. Then the patch would not hold its shape plus a slit opened from the center to the top allowing light to get through. After a few minutes, the patch collapsed and became totally useless. I might note that I only walked from my house to my car, drove for a few minutes and walked into another building. I was not physically working other than walking.
This patch may be OK in Alaska, but it is of NO USE in Texas!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Astronomy, October 31, 2010

I bought this eye patch for use with my telescope. Traditionally you need to squint the eye you are not observing with on telescopes. It is great using this eyepatch and not having to squint, I can observing a subject longer and gather more detail from it. With the convex shape my eyelashes do not touch the inside of the patch which allows me to have both eyes completely open. Works great and I highly recommend it. 5 bucks is a bargain!
