5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!!, March 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Black Families at the Crossroads: Challenges and Prospects (Jossey-Bass Social & Behavioral Science) (Hardcover)
This book was in great condition, and to my surprise, looked as if it were brand new. I ordered it for a course I am enrolled in, but after reading the first couple of chapters, it was so interesting that I decided to share it with my co-workers. I am presently employed at a school that has an enrollment of predominantly African American students. This book has given me greater insight of the behaviors of those students I have come in contact with. I really enjoy reading and have found the perfect place to order books...Thanks to Amazon.com.

5.0 out of 5 stars The History of the Family, May 8, 2001

I had to read this book for my African American Experience Class, it was a throughly awesome revelation of the effects of slavery has had on Black people. Not to say the effects it takes on the many generations now and to come, if one is not aware of how to break the cycle.
