So your boyfriend (or boyfriend*s*) enjoys sexy stories but you'd love him to read something more erotic than the letters page of "Penthouse"...You *can't* go wrong passing this delicious collection of Cecilia Tan's on to him...a wonderfully exotic range of stories that made my heart beat a little faster, my breath come a little shorter, and my skin break out in a heated sweat...On the other hand, who needs to give this book away? Give *yourself* the present of this luscious collection, and see if you don't expand your own sexual imagination!

FINALLY! After a long wait by her readers, Cecilia delivers the collection we've all been waiting for. I've been a long time fan and imagine my delight when I walked into my local bookstore and found this delicious collection on the shelf! Imagine my sadness when I found that Cecilia had been signing books there the day before. Such is my lot but I still walked away with a signed copy that has since proven to be one of my best book buys of the year.

Black Feathers is a diverse landscape of erotic, exotic and provoking thoughts. A DEFINITE add to any erotica reader's collection.

not since the original Story of O has there been such truly erotic work available for thinking people to fill in the mind pictures. Ms Tan is obviously a great writer and i look forward to her first big novel...no matter what the subject.

I was very impressed with the variety of situations Cecilia Tan described in the short stories presented in "Black Feathers." This is the first time I have read much related to erotic science fiction, and although science fiction is not my usual genre of choice, Tan convinced me that I want to check out more of "out there" erotica. "Pearl Diver," I thought, was especially creative and pregnant with meaning.

As someone who has only read about BDSM, I found her stories that deal with that subject, well, exciting. Yet she gives us a little of the philosophy behind pain-as-pleasure, making this book stimulating for the intellectual parts of the brain as well as the erotic. I would definitely read more of her work.

I'm daydreaming of a better book. I started reading with high hopes, vibrator ready, as my darling Norman was out of town on business, and ended up skimming past all the mystical tea-drinking madams,and just couldn't get excited, and damm, i didn't get to use my vibrator. very dissapointed.

Cecilia Tan is an excellent writer with a great imagination, which is a wonderful combination in a genre where I find too many writers focus on the erotic, and less on the story-- the art and craft of fiction. That is not to say that this book is not erotic-- it most certainly is sexy. But it is on the fringe of the sexual experience in many ways: often kinky, set in surreal, imaginative places, with a hint of sci-fi and a bit of horror. Read this book with an open mind and you won't be sorry, you may even read it over again. I have enjoyed many of the stories more than once. I hope you will, too.

P.S. Don't expect "Letters to Penthouse" This is *literary* erotica at its finest.

With every page, Ms. Tan drew me further into her creative and exciting realm. The words are like music to my eyes, and I found myself truly enchanted by these wonderful tales of love, obsession and the taboo world of D/s.

Thank you Ms. Tan for such fantasticly real experiences. You are to be commended for editing a book about S & M that does not insult the intelligence of the reader.

This isn't going to be for everyone, but if you have any interest in the BDSM world, this collection is an incredibly intelligent slice through a dozen different varieties of that flavor. There are stories here for hets, bi's, and gays, each with a unique touch.

Had to share my experience reading this book. I take the subway into Boston for work and like to get in some pages. Well, thank goodness I had my large gym bag with me one day, as I read one story I became so flushed and began getting very warm and tingly down there, it began to pulse, and eventually I had to release my tension in a huge O. So glad I didn't wear hose that day as well. Get this book, and try not to look at the people sitting across from you, or the man looking over your shoulder next to you as you read this. Oh god!

This books was so great and interesting I read it in 2 days. I couldn't put it down.
