5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent compendium of facts, July 1, 2005

This review is from: Black Firsts: 2,000 Years of Extraordinary Achievement (Paperback)
This book contains many facts in African-American history that you would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere without hours of research per fact. The author even lists his sources for each fact. The author should truly be commended for putting together an excellent reference book. With regard to the reviewer who quibbled over the book's title of "2,000 Years of Extraordinary Achievement," this is a very minor point, and you need to keep in mind that most authors do not have control over the title of a book unless they are named Stephen King or Michael Crichton. The publisher has control of everything because they are the investor in the book and have put thousands of dollars on the line. Don't blame the author for everything, oh, ye of little knowledge.
