This is a really great training tool. Ive had it about 3 months, and use it to relieve all the built up tension that I have in my lower back and thighs from sitting at a desk job all day, and the workouts that I have been doing lately...

Since this one is high density, it holds up to my weight. Since I've been losing weight recently, I may need to switch to a medium-density version. Not sure yet.

Currently my workout regimen has been just simple walking/jogging (again, I am a bigger guy, I don't want to do anything too strenuous) and have been making really great progress with the weight loss. Ive combined the jogging with Garcinia Cambogia - NaturaBest which is a natural supplement that I have been hearing lots of people talk about. I am 99% sure that its been helping me in my weight loss journey. Obviously diet and working out are always the biggest things, but for those who really have extra weight, its always good to have something that will help you along.

First off let me say I'm a pretty big guy, I weigh 230lbs and I'am fairly muscular. If you are looking for something that is firm but still gives a little this is not the roll for you. My girlfriend to to use it once and she said it felt like lying on a rock.

I've been using this roll for the past 9 months, about 3 times a week. Mostly I roll on my back and to relieve some of the tension, but I have also used it for my hips, legs and calves. This roll is truly high density as I look at it today it looks the way it did the first day it came out of the package, and has not lost its shape at all. More importantly it has maintained its firmness.

Before getting this roll I had bought this 24 Inch Foam Roller available from Altus. After the very first use I could see that the middle part of the roll had compress a bit, and about two weeks of use it started to look like an hourglass. It lasted about a month before I threw it in the trash.

Overall this is a great product: No odor at all from the foam, It is very firm and you can be confident it will not lose its shape, and feels great as you give yourself a massage with it.

If you have never used a foam roller before, I highly recommend it for alleviating body pains. I roll at least three times a day -- it doesn't take a lot of time. If you are new to rolling, go with a white roller as they are less dense. Black rollers, while effective for alleviating kinks and soreness, can be painful because they are so dense. If you have used a black roller and it is not dense enough, many people make rollers out of PVC pipe.

I have purchased two foam rollers from this company. I have their 12 inch round and a 36 round and both are of fine quality and both are the extra firm kind. I use the 36 inch at home; it is especially useful for realigning my back. I use my 12 inch roller at work and when I am traveling since it is slightly more portable.

If you are looking for information on how to use a foam roller, the internet has many sites with videos. Try bodyspex.com and youtube for starters. The videos offer helpful commentary about what should be accomplished during a particular exercise, how your body might/should feel, and mechanisms for altering an exercise to alleviate tenderness.

Again, if you are new to foam rolling, please give it a go. It may not cure all that ails you but it may be a good start to treating pain and tightness on your own. I've seen people with tight IT bands and tight hip flexors use a foam roller and feel like new people after ONE rolling session.

This roller is not worth the price. After 2 months of use the center became concave and lumpy. Pretty much unusable now that the surface is not straight and I can't roll on it properly.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the foam roller is made up of many tiny particle-like pieces of pressed styrofoam. Pieces are already flaking off after 2-3 uses. Other foam rollers i've used in the past are 1 solid piece. This gets the job done but is really shoddily put together.

If you have small kids or pets (or simply don't like tiny pieces of styrofoam on your floors!) don't purchase this roller.

I have had a very painful spasm in my lower back for over 7 months. I've seen multiple chiropractors, an acupunturist, 2 massage therapists and my general practitioner not to mention trying multiple topical treatments and OTC pain killers. My GP recommended physical therapy and a foam roll. I decided to try the foam roll before forking out the cash for PT. The foam roll is the only thing that has made a real difference other than expensive deep tissue massage. I'm able to roll on exactly the spot with the spasm and use my body weight to massage it out. Not to mention I can roll my whole back and get it to pop a few times. I also use the roll after workouts or when I am sore.

Yes, it hurts some but not in a bad way. It's a deep muscle massage that hurts so good. If you have any muscle pain or soreness you'll be glad you have one of these on hand.
