Sizzla has recently shown signs of many changes,he has let his anger get the better of him.Sizzla alone can not change the world, but should continue trying to uplift the minds of the Black people, and do not use degrading terms referring to women. He can still be one of the best, but stick to being a conscious artiste.

This is the third album that I've gotten by Kalonji in the past 3-4 weeks, and he is batting a thousand this year, because each has been spectacular. Black History being the third best of the three is still a very good album. The best track here is Instance, where Sizzla's flow is about as good as it gets from a sound standpoint. Ater Instance the best songs include Run Dem to Wrong, Ring Leader and Galong. One of the other songs, No Pain, is a complete showcase of Sizzla's vocal strength, as he straight chants on the entire track, its very very refreshing to hear a dj have that dimension that he can showcase to mix it up a little. Overall, I'd have to say that Sizzla is currently putting out the best music available in Reggae, and Black History, while not absolutely his best work, is certainly much better than what a lot of dj's are offering this year.

Listen, you people, who hear the words but no not from where the word have been spoken from, or under what state of mind. The title of this album alone deserves a 5 star. The title song is a big tune on this album " Prince Street whey me prince dem did line up....upper house ah parliment slave master dey sign up..." You just don't see, he enclosed Black History in a song people. Not to mention the Revolutionary song Bandulu " doh mek de govament fool yuh...... ah only war dem ah declare" What about the ambigious tract "No pain" " de worl ah unnuh inna jamaica ah ethiopian" you don't see the heights in which this young man speaks. What about the uplifting lines of don't be dissappointed " Where is your love? cause Jah is Love so why is it you do away with yours?......that's not good enough, your still shedding blood, remember, warrrr ah no cure..." What about my favorite song on this album Happy to Love " yesterday remains the same, tommorrow is the future.........where always happy love......teach de yutes dem how to pray now..." I want you to go and blaze it up and then in an unbiased mentality, listen to the album once more, if that is too much, listen the songs i just quoted here. Bless

What can I say,
A Kid's Review

Although this album was the most anticipated album for Sizzla of that year, it failed to bring to the table what Sizzla is known for, ENERGY. This album sounds and presented like it was forced off the production line. A couple of good songs but nothing that I have come to expect from this man. Worth a listen, but you won't be missing too much if you don't add it to your reggae collection

Lacks cohesiveness. Seems like a departure from many of the songs and themes that made him famous. At times he just seemed to be rambling with no clear message in mind. Overall, disappointing.

sizla has proved to be the best in contemprary regea. The song ring leader appears to me as a reflection of myself. Also it's a total music by which i mean there is total blend of drum and bass and all other instruments. Though it's not exactly in line with great songs like praise ye jah and wizer than dem Ring Leader is got it's own style which proves that sizla is definately a man with unending talents. He will carry on to be on top of the scene for a very long time to come.Blessed Love to you all
