This is my new favorite teapot! I use it every day. The heavy cast iron keeps tea hot for 1-2 hours. The inside is enameled and won't rust, but the beautiful, textured exterior will if you leave it wet. It's worth a moment of extra care to let it air dry after rinsing it out after making tea in it. The stainless steel basket for the tea allows green tea to fully expand and release it's full flavor and aroma and then lets you remove the tea before it gets too stong.

My GF really wanted a cast iron Teapot. I rolled the dice since it only had one review, and the product was far better looking then in the picture. I thought it was going to be tall and stubby, but was actually more flat and round, and she loved it. Its a perfect size for two people, but I also drink big cups of tea.

The inside is coated with a black shiny porcelain ceramic. I read that a lined inside is good to have because it helps prevent the inside from rusting. My only concern is that it holds up and doesn't start to break away into the tea over time, but I don't know anything about teapots so not sure if that will happen.

Overall, I have no complaints and we are both happy with it.

all my tea pots break.. not this one and it was priced much lower than the one at the "mall tea store". I have been using it every day for over a year.
